I know, and I'll leave my actual opinion until the post season. I just think the dogs should have won.

I didn't think it was too bad, but Riewoldt's last goal resulted from an inside 50 that should never have happened, had the umpire paid the blatant over the shoulder to Hudson at the preceding stoppage.

Whatever, the doggies would have won had they a tall forward half as good as Riewoldt, but they don't. Saints fortunate as they were outplayed for 70% of the match.

.
This was what finished the game. Clear free kick, especially when the umps had been paying it all night to StKilda. No winning goal by Riewoldt & the doggies would have won IMO.

You can just tell that the umpires want the top sides of the season (ie-saints/cats) to win in the big games. They let the big calls in favour of the opposition go when it comes to crunch inevitably keeping teams in the game (ie- frees inside 50 when the doggies had a run on so that they can't get too far ahead and take all the momentum).

The umpires clearly influenced tonights result IMO. Riewoldt was great, but was the saints only option/chance all night. They had nothing else.

jesus

the dogs had 14 more inside 50s. the game was umpired OK. The dogs don't have a KPF to mark get out kicks. the go ahead goal is exactly what the bullies lack, the ability for a huge mark in a pressure situation.
