If Ball does get to us at 30 I think you will find that on Thursday night when the Melbourne's, BL and Essendon's are asked about the non selection of Ball they will all come out and say that there was player at our pick that we didn't expect to be there so we were rapt to take him instead. This is what they intended to do all along but this comment appeases that masses somewhat and also builds up the incumbent recruit. They then think Luke who??

It is gonna kill some clubs though if he does make it to us at 30 though isn't it? Hello Sainters!
Perfect post Tails

Re: I Just Asked Jack and Swanny About Luke Ball

If we pick up Troy Taylor and Ball is still yet to be drafted that would be the biggest mistake the club will ever make. Taylor is a very hot and cold player while Luke Ball is a former captain is still young and we need a hard player like him but the most important thing off all is that he plays very well in big games which is what we need more off.

We won't choose Taylor if Ball is available. Ball is a proven player, Taylor is not. We have a realistic shot at the flag next year and Ball will contribute to a premiership, while Taylor will still be developing. From reports this draft ain't all that good, so pick 30 will probably pick up an average to good player.

If I was Derek Hine I wouldn't even pause to think about drafting Ball.
