Would have preferred an underdone Didak and BJ in the team instead of Sinclair and Goldsack:rolleyes:

Watch a replay and take notice of Buck's demeanor in the box tonight compared to the previous 2 games.........Furious would best describe it:thumbsdown:

Malthouse must be laughing his **** off.

That shows that they aren't following instructions and his game plan. :thumbsu:

Who to replace Ball? My bet would be on Sinclair. Goes in for the hard ball. We know he isn't effective around the ground as much as other players, but his endeavor to get in and get the ball is what's keeping him in the side.

Very disappointed. Injurys didn't help. Being down a key defender when Carlton have got 2 & resting ruck is tough. Losing ball they could handle, it was Reid that caused the issue. Ultimately we didn't have the legs to push it out.

I really hope your joking about Sinclair.

His crap. The sooner people realise this the better.

It gets me so angry the way fellow collingwood supporters mouth off. We played terrible, yes. Carlton were very very good. But i cant handle it.Its 3 weeks in. Maxys first game back, sharrods first game back, our whole backline wasn't playing. When i say good times and bad,i actually mean it. Lets face it we've been pretty spoiled so far,we saw a premiership less than 2 years ago. I get mad at so called supporters walking out at 3 quarter time. I get annoyed at the media making A big deal about it. Bruce jizzing over juddy. Does my head in.

keefe is looking very good but a few of them need to wake up. Theres too much pressure on bucks.Malthouse didnt get us to the finals for 2 years. I am absolutely in favour of bucks. I have faith. I think eddie knows what he is doing,he loves collingwood more than anyone. Including bucks. By the way i dont think we are done with yet. Not by a long shot. Anyone who disagrees wait and see and at the end of the season ill be here saying i told you so. Theres no one i'd rather follow not even carlscum.

Go pies :thumbsu:

We all love the pies. We all love out boys and most of live bucks.
But let's face facts, tonight is the worst game we've played in
Almost a decade. There were 4 points on the line against what
Appears to be a serious contender. We got our arse handed to
us on a plate.

- our normally great midfield was absoloutely smashed even pre ball.

- our rocksteady defence looks like it is confused. Harry looks like he
thinking world politics (why was he trying to appease bets during one
Of the breaks) , he needs some hate in him... Toovey is a good average
Player but he can't kick. Maxwell was ok. Keefe, based on ability and
Experience was better in the back than most.

- Chris Dawes needs a rocket. Tarzan playing like he has no hands? Wtf
Where is a marking coach?

-what the hell has happened to our structures? Our run is gone?

Like I said in another thread, we are playing like a team that thinks
Ita done it All before, a team that is more worried about contracts and perks
, a team that needs motivation and most of all a team this playing like its
Fractured.

The difference being Malthouse took over a bottom of the ladder side. Buck has a premiership side, which the game plan looks crap!!!
He does not have a premiership side....he has a 2011 grand finalist and its round 3 bruz......
so we are being picky now are we ok then. Malthouse still had a side that was bottom of the ladder, and Buck has a side that made back to back grand finals and the game plan is STILL CRAP!!!!!!!!!!

We've got port next week, then the Anzac day game which we always lift for the week after then the bulldogs after that.
Sure we are running into challenges and it's always shit to lose to Carlton, but all is not lost, if we had played to the best of our abilities and still got flogged, then I would be worried, but almost the entire team underperformed, and it was one of those nights when the ball always seemed to drop Carlton's way. We will improve and it will be a vastly different collingwood team that Carlton run into next time, I assure you

I realize my input is probably not wanted, but there is a fair bit of overeaction going on in here that needs calling out.

Losing Ball and Reid killed you. Going in without Taz, Didak, Krak, Johnson also killed you. If you took four equivalent players out of the Carlton side, and put those six all back in the collingwood side, it would be a different result.

It's that simple. No need to panic.

Lets all take a collective breath now! The players are going through a mourning period. It was to be expected. It has nothing to do with Buckley, but more to do with loosing Malthouse. The situation is no different at an emotional level to your parents getting divorced and you getting a step dad. At first you dont believe it that it has happened, you then get angry, then you rebel, and finally you might accept the step dad as a father figure. This has nothing to do with Buckley, but everything to do with the players dealing with their emotions of loosing Malthouse who was a father figure to them. Give it time. It will get better.

Positives:
Keefe Good.
Maxy Good.
Beams Good.
Fas ok, rarely let Yarran run off.
Wellers showed glimpes.

Poor:
Goldsack - has never seen the weights room and fumbles.
Sinclair - tries hard (trying to be nice).
Harry - struggling without support.
Wood - never understood any love that goes his way. Simply not up to AFL.

Good news: It's round 3.
Further good news: Opposition supporters flogging themselves over us losing. Good to see we mean so much to so many.;)

I'm not panicking yet. I expected this result.

My concern, was that once it was clear the game was over, it was experimentation time, and Buckley didn't take the chance to try anything, which is what his predecessor use to do.

I really think these players, at least most of them, don't want to play for Bucks. Looks like the rumor I heard was true.

I have no problem losing when you try, but not making any effort is embarrassing. Swan is in the middle of the biggest drop off in form I've ever seen from a brown low medallist.

Even Woewodin didn't drop off this bad.

We were second to the Ball all around the ground. We have lacked intensity and defensive pressure- particularly through the middle. I didn't see round one, but it was missing last week too.

We just seem so disorganised moving the ball around the ground and then are caught out on the rebound.

Is it time to ask whether Toovey can play at the required level without Malthouse running the show? Is he a "system" defender?

Very disappointing performance, but there were reasons that were outside our control for a lot of this: injuries early in the game to 2 key players hurt us badly, not only because this upset our structure and unbalanced the team, but also had a negative impact on our rotations. We simply couldn't be as fresh as Carlton. Also, we were coming off a 6-day break, the Blues off 8 days break - when teams are otherwise relatively even, this hurts the team with the shorter break badly. I think that this was an important factor that gets overlooked.

That said, things seem flat in Magpieland. Don't know why, but you can just sense it.

Jolly can't seem to jump any more, so he might as well vacate the centre square and we can play Wood there (he's sometimes half decent at centre hit outs), and learn to rove to a losing ruck. Maybe bring in Witts (even though he's nowhere near ready).

I thought Fasolo did OK tonight, and Wellers was rusty but seemed to be not far away from finding touch.

Good times and bad, we supporters have got to stick with the boys and have faith that it will turn around sooner or later.

Toovey was playing on Garlett and Garlett kicked 2.1 from 8 disposals. Not a bad effort from Toovey considering how much our defence relies on defensive structure, and how shit our midfield was tonight.

Man, you're kidding me. Bloody professionals acting like a bunch of school kids who have an emergency teacher? Nah, I aint buying that.

I remember MM doing sweet f..k all when we were getting thumped. Remember that calls 'where the hell is Plan B' when we were kicking 6 goals against contenders?

Pathetic effort, too many players who are not willing win the ball and Carlton mids hit the pill with intent.
I haven't seen Collingwood play that badly since maybe the second half of the Brisbane game in 2010, and it was just a lazy, spiritless, comical performance.

I knew we would get beaten tonight but we showed nothing apart from a patch in the second quarter and even that wasn't good.

There are a lot of things wrong, playing Sinclair before Ugle is a ****ing joke and maybe shows the mind set of the Collingwood brain trust.

I will say Keefe was good, and if he didn't take so long to make up his mind when he has the pill, he could be very handy down the line.

No I definitely remember.

But this is different. These players actually look like they don't give a shit. The rumor came from a relative of a fringe player, which is the only clue I can give.

The source is probably as close to hearing it from the horses mouth as you can get. A decent chunk of e senior players don't like Bucks and Swan's name was used at the head of the pack. Hs performances this year are making me believe this rumor is 100% true.
