It sounded like Worsfold was in the fold, was involved in the decision making etc, whereas Connolly seemed to just accept a decision made by the board. Maybe it was Cuddles interview after the incident where he basically had nothing to say... i was dissappointed in both Cuddles reaction to the whole thing, and the board handing down a decision from "on high"
Once again, no facts. Zero. "It sounded like..." "Maybe it was..." "Connolly seemed to...".
You said there were only two scenarios. A third much more plausible has been put up (the Board makes suspensions), and you come out with this stuff??? If you agree with pistol's statement, then Connolly has acted entirely appropriately.
Connolly hasn't acted entirely appropriately. He didn't show any passion about Jeffrey, he didn't get involved, he didn't stick up for his player, he washed his hands of one of his most important players when he should have been backing him up, inspite of how wrong his actions were. This club talks about passion, but we've got a coach who doesn't show any.

Connolly backed Farmer through the eye gouge disgrace, an on-field incident, and has backed him numerous times. It has not worked, demonstrated by Farmer's actions. Farmer continued his attention seeking behaviour, only this time a new tactic has been tried as a last resort.
Once again, a clueless argument. History shows that my generation changed the course of history by "challenging the dominant paradigm". The opposite of "not making waves". That incudes social, technological and political change. That is a simple fact, and I would love to hear about the revolutionary ideals of your generation you young whipper-snapper you.
You guys fail to put up any credible arguments or facts to support your opinions. Nor do you respond to facts that counter your opinions. You simply regenerate your opinion with another one, and until you do you lack credibility.

Connolly passed the buck on the Farmer eye gouge on his interviews, saying it was up the guy in charge of tribunial hearings.
Pistol's post says that the board normally hands down suspensions. I'm not disagreeing with that. What i'm saying is Cuddles was not as involved in the decision making process as *I* think he should have been. And his reaction to the whole saga was very below par in *my* opinion. I like to see our coach backing the players 100%, and cuddles didn't even waver from his normal monotone voice when talking about Farmer.
Cuddles seems to have an alarming habit of "passing the buck" on basically every difficult issue. We're not saying Jeffrey is an easy issue to deal with, but being a coach is not supposed to be an easy job. We aren't paying Cuddles peanuts, we're paying him big money to coach a professional team. To just walk away from a player, and go "look, i'll deal with him when hes off suspension" is very very poor.
Cuddles seems to never have an answer for anything. The forward is broken? Forward coach's problem. We shouldn't have appealed a suspension? Robert Shaws problem. Haven't recruited a good midfielder for 5 years? Recruting team's problem. Cuddles needs to take responsibility for something, sometime.
Mate we're just two supporters who have similiar views. I don't think we're alone in thinking that such a powerful club off the field such as Freo shouldn't have such a mediocre coach and a board that is meddling in football affairs.

It is not like He has just rocked up and started espousing contoversial opinions.
Personally I think its great that some people are getting agitated about our lack of performance on the field. For the life of me I can't accept that the players are playing with passion for the club and their team mates, and surely, surely, surely the coach has to be the main driver for that?
I'm sick of all these people with their "oh, CC is trying his hardest... cut him some slack, its the players that aren't performing you know... he does his best, and look - he brought us from where we were in 2001 to being a top 4 / premiership contender" etc etc
In my opinion, CC was probably good for us in 2002-03-04 (maybe) when we were truly rebuilding, but we would have achieved a lot more in the last couple of years with someone else. Lets fact it, the club is underperforming, and the buck stops with the coach. If its internal player friction, its still his fault! If the players aren't motivated - its still his fault!

Why did you ask. While there is no doubt that there are people who are paid to influnence public opinion on message-boards , i am intrigued to know what made you jump to that conclusion about a poster who has been here for three years and has accumulated a lot of cred.
People who are having affairs themselves often accuse their partner of the same thing.
And quite frankly that accusation about Gav from a new member has made the old hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
