What a self-serving pile of arrogant crap her article was on the weekend. To keep this concise, I will comment on her article in points:
1. The most gross and disgraceful thing she did was to compare Carey's misdemeanour to Ablett's. The girl Ablett consorted with is DEAD. She died from a DRUG OVERDOSE. To even compare adultery to the death of a young woman is sickening, and if I was Carey I would be very, very, very angry. Wilson is a ****ing idiot and that is a complete lack of respect for all parties involved to make that kind of ****ed comparison.
2. The Hall of Fame is about FOOTBALL, not about player's personal lives. Sure, Ablett is a difficult one, but Carey is not. If he committed adultery, it is no-one's business, and definitely should not affect his Hall of Fame selection.
3. Wilson is either ****ing stupid or ****ing naive if she thinks Carey is a 'lone case'. I'm willing to bet plenty of the Hall of Famers haven't all been faithful, and definitely all footballers aren't, it's only because Carey is so high profile that so much was made of it.
4. I am disgusted how she basically blames it all on Carey and absolves Kelli Stevens. Yes, poor Kelli Stevens, mother and wife, was left to 'rebuild her family'. No, of course Rebecca Wilson, it only takes one side to commit adultery doesn't it? Yep, poor Kelli. Not her fault at all.
5. When even Anthony Stevens has said Carey is welcome back at the Kangaroos and the club is bigger than them, what right does Rebecca Wilson have to say he has no right? Sorry Rebecca, but it's none of your business, and if the most injured party (along with Sally Carey) in all of this is willing to let it go for the betterment of the club, who the hell do you think you are to say otherwise?

Her article is the kind of self-serving crap that can only open old wounds between the two partie.s Everyone knows it happened, and we didn't need a pompous piece of crap from Rebecca Wilson to do that to the likes of Sally Carey when she opens the paper in the morning. What right does she have to pass judgment? Has she been perfect all her life?
Mainly, it rankles me that she is low and scumful enough to compare adultery to a drug death, and to be stupid enough to infer that all other footballers haven't been dishonest.
Wake up, Rebecca Wilson. Footballers are not paragons of virtue. Just because Carey's profile made it a big story doesn't mean it's not an endemic problem in the AFL. Such a pious, self-righteous article helps no-one and only makes things worse.
