Jana Pittman
Haven't heard any news about her for a day or two... Is she ok?
I expected a report on the late news about what she would be eating on the trip home and whether she got a window seat or not???

Re: Jana Pittman
Kept a low profile during the flight by only wearing her Commonwealth Games medals around her neck, Aussie athletics tracksuit, and draping herself in the Australian flag.
In an interview with Gourmet Magazine, she said that dinner was a choice between chicken or fish. But declined to tell the magazine what she had, citing that those interview rights had been bought by Channel Nine.
While she had a choice of movies, Films! Movies! Cinemas! Pictures! Magazine revealed today that she decided to watch Australian classic The Club.
Jana told the magazine, 'It's really inspirational. I see myself as the modern day Geoff. He had the talent and fought back when everyone thought he was hopeless. Now look at him, he played in a premiership team. I reckon I can emulate his success. Except for the bit with the seagull, and what he did with his family. That was a little bit weird.'

Re: Jana Pittman
She was briefly interviewed on the news yesterday before she boarded the plane home.
The amazing thing was that for the first time she didn't turn on the water works.

Re: Jana Pittman
Call me a sadist, an if you'd like to, call me 'un-australian', but I was glad that Pittman didn't win the medal, I was sick to death of hearing about her in the paper, and the fact that she loved all the attention and worked herself up to be some immortal goddess, your a human being Jana, hopefully crashing and burning in the olympics will teach you that.

Re: Jana Pittman
Jana's found a new way of getting media attention.

Olympian spared injury in tram prang
15oct04
OLYMPIC hurdler Jana Pittman has narrowly escaped injury in a crash with a tram.
Pittman's Toyota RAV4 was driven into the path of a tram when it swerved to avoid another car that was reverse-parking in Collins St this week.
The tram smashed into the driver's side of Pittman's vehicle and rammed it back into the reversing car.
Pittman's partner, British hurdler Chris Rawlinson, was driving the $45,000 RAV4, which was given to the Olympian as a sponsorship deal with Cannon Toyota in Camberwell.
It will be off the road for more than a month while $12,000 worth of repairs are carried out.
Pittman's management, Grand Slam International, said she was in the car but was not hurt. The athlete, 21, will resume training on December 13.
Yarra Trams spokesman Colin Tyrus said thousands of dollars damage was done to the tram.
He said the tram driver was shaken but declined treatment.
"Trams have tracks . . . people aren't aware that trams can't get out of the way of a car," he said.
None of the 60 passengers on the tram was injured.
Rawlinson, 32, a Manchester Commonwealth Games 400m hurdles champion, was visiting Australia for the first time.
Pittman fought a knee injury to claim fifth place in the finals.

Re: Jana Pittman
Heard a rumour from the sports medical circles that i cant confirm nor will i add that i am giving it alot of credence but sounds plausible and the fact Jana ********s me makes me want to beleive it.
Apprantley the whole "knee" thing was all in her head the doctors opened up her knee and said this is rubbish there is nothing wrong here at all closed her back up and sent her on her way, hence the miraculous recovery to run in the Olympics and the throwing away of the crutches media bit. Sport psychs were onto her doing some intensive psych work becasue she literaly made up a major knee injury to take the pressure off her if she failed.
Seems beleivible as either way after the injury Australia would have gotten behind her as "Our Jana" against all odds style Today Tonight rubbish as they did.
As i said not anywhere near concrete but a nice tasty rumour none the less

You really don't know what you are talking about as usual.
Back to the topic.....
Let's hope that she recovers in time for her next meet.
