Whilst I am fully aware that Tim is a true blue,I can't help but notice that when he was calling the old Fitzroy games on the winners he seems to raise his interest in the game when Fitzroy are doing well.
I have noticed this quite a few times when watching the old winners show on fox footy.
I have heard him trumpet fitzroy and there players many times over the years and now in retrospect wonder if he was not a closet fan.
He has repeatatly said the 83 qual final Q4 was the best quater of footy he ever saw(often adding how stiff we where) and has championed Garry Wilson and Bernie Quinlan many many times.
He has also repeatly said Hayden Bunton Snr was most likely the games greatest player.
