They're weak at the contest, have a sheer refusal to put their head over the ball and have a fear of manning up.

This is why West Coast, Geelong and Port Power will hammer the Demons in the finals.

Until guys like Davey, Robertson and Miller learn what accountability, toughness, and hardness is, then kiss your chances goodbye and ponder another 40 years without success.

Toughness, accountability, hardness? This is what melbourne has been applauded as finding this year by most football commentators, journalists, players etc. You should know this already though…we beat you...didn't we? I could be wrong. You know what though, for your "attempt" at a post, I'm going to give you a gold star and the opportunity to...clean my shoes feral!

Facts: Put up or shut up

A good example of that style of play would be Geelong's effort against Melbourne earlier in the year.....oops

Wtf is wrong with some people? Geelong have already lost to us - quite easily too. Dont come on here and pronounce how you will beat us in the finals when we've already pulled your pants down in round 3.
Yeah, OK, Miller isnt tough and hard  Can I ask you how much football you watch of the Dees? Not much obviously.

Re: Why Melbourne's performance today mirrors their true selves and why they're nothi

All of you people are spouting crap about how Melbourne beat Geelong, therefore Melbourne can't be criticised for their style of play against West Coast.

Meanwhile, Melbourne played in the exact opposite manner to the way that Collingwood did when they BEAT West Coast. Collingwood, it's safe to say, are not an elite side. However, they played an elite level of hard football against West Coast, and consequently beat them.

Maybe that's exactly what Melbourne ought to do before talking trash about other teams, because this current Melbourne team's record of success in the post season is not exactly great.

Re: Why Melbourne's performance today mirrors their true selves and why they're nothi

Geelong? Were you at the game in Round 3? Didn't go near a hardball all night. Miller not tough? Thank you and goodnight.

Some people seem to forget that there was always going to be a loser yesterday.

So, Linga. Geelong's "performance today mirrors their true selves and why they're nothing" coming back to bite you?

Re: Why Melbourne's performance today mirrors their true selves and why they're nothi

No Ottens = No Cats.

Pretenders.

Coming up for Melbourne:

v Brisbane at Gabba ('home' game)
v Port at AAMI
v Sydney at TD
v Freo at Subi

A testing month ahead. If they win 3 games they'll probably finish top 2 and deservedly be a flag favourite. If they lose 3 games they'll finish out of the top 4.

Wait and see.

If tough is running past the ball and hitting the player when he's got his head down over the ball, then Miller is certainly that.
He needs to get his head pulled in and try and get a kick before he starts acting the tough man.

How many kicks did he manage to get on Shane Wakelin and James Clement last week? ;)

Now if we try really hard we can turn a thread about Melbourne and West Coast into a fully blown Collingwood thread.

This is true. I'd be happy with two out of those four, three would be a top effort. Even though it's ******** playing 3 weeks out of 4 interstate (does any other Vic side have that out of interest? I guess one is a "home" game), at least it does come after the break. After the 5-day break they need some time to rest.

Big month for the Dees.
