about how their clubs missed out on the greatest player ever in Chris Judd?

Ball and Hodge aren't near him - and Freo missed out on all of them. Weagles wouldn't win a premiership without him.

hahaha...this will get nasty...but judd is the best by a country mile...

I remember Hodge made a surge last year and had people saying he was better than Judd. I believe Hodge has a better kick but that is about all. Ball is behind both imo but the injuries probably have a fair bit to do with it.

Judd wont be at eagles much longer. After his contract he will be back and playing in victoria. (either with bulldogs, stkilda, carlton, collingwood or melbourne)

He was a Demon fan you know. Come home Juddy. :D

Won't happen, he'll be at the Weagles for his entire career

Judd is great. But I'm more than happy with Hodgey ..... actually excited!

reiwoltd is far more likely to leave the saints than judd the eagles.

decent chance of winning a premiership playing in the west

Its not really all that bad though.

Hodge and Ball, been fantastic players for their respective clubs.

Would take any of the three to be honest, probably the cheapest.

Yes BUT..

If Judd was at St.K they would have won a premiership already. He is simply a class above

What a stupid thread.

How do Melbourne fans feel knowing that they drafting Luke Molan in front of players like McGuire, Dal Santo, Mitchell, Seaby, Hansen and Waite?

Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Sure, perhaps if we had had it again, we might have drafted Judd, but i'm more than happy with Hodge. He's proven himself to be one of the elite midfielders in the comp (Judd is ofcourse at a different leve), but Hodgey himself is still a midfielder any other team would kill for.

Bad - every club has their clangers

But we're talking about JUDD. How does it feel?

Judd is indeed well above just about every other player in the league, but neither Hodge nor Ball had had two shoulder recos before they got drafted, had they? So only a complete nuff nuff would say that Hawthorn and St Kilda should have taken Judd, because for all they knew he could have re-injured a shoulder and never played a game. The rest is history, as they say. Fremantle on the other hand.........WTF WERE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!

The thread has nothing to do with who they should have taken. I'm simply asking how it feels in hindsight knowing that the greatest player possibly ever could've been playing for their club

he extended it, and has said he wants to remain an eagle
he got picked third because hodge was playing better then him, and judd already had a shoulder re-construction* which probably influenced judd and ball being picked before him
im not 100% sure he had a re-construction, i just know he had injury problems with his shoulder

No argument that Judd is a star, but...

There are a lot of great players that have won personal accolades and not managed to grab that premiership they so long desired. I hope Judd gets one (won't be this year) but well you never know do you? His age and the eagles don't quite fit of you know what I mean. They'll be rebuilding in two seasons and then where will he be?

Personally I am happy with Hodgey, he is a natural leader which is what we needed at the time. Judd has had leadership forced on him this season and in my opinion I don't think he's seems all that comfortable with it. Ball will win a premiership - and will hold up the cup, Hodge will do the same at least once. But will Judd
