Absolutely, I have been saying it for ages. Makes Deledio look like a spud, but unfortunately that no 1 draft tag, hides a lot ...
I would love Deledio, but Lewis is better. Significantly better.

He's been great for us since we picked him up, a real find and he's having a fantastic year. But do we really have to start comparing?

Just quietly loving his work this season to date.
People said at the time we paid over the odds to pick him up with #7, then they said he has no upside.
He has mongrel, he is a tough player, knows how to find and knows how to use the footy. Ticks all the boxes, as far as I'm concerned.

Have you seen Lewis AT ALL this year? Arguably BOG in every single game-can the same be said about Deledio? Absolutely not.
Good luck to you if you are going to keep bringing up Deledio as the winner of the rising star award. If you think that is the best indicator of how good a player is, then I feel sorry for you.
Just admit it-Lewis has been better than Deledio this year, and looks to, so far, be the better midfielder.

exactly, i think teams would go for a lewis type who will get the contested possession and win the ball then the soft flanker

Is Deledio a forward? Is he a defender? NO...he is a midfielder. Only reason why he has been moved around at times is because he has been largely ineffective in the middle.
And I've watched plenty of footy this year. I've watched Richmond lose 3 in a row, and watched them be absolutely pathetic.

That's right, I don't know why people are bringing Deledio into this thread, it's about Midfielders from the 04 draft.
Not really-it's about Lewis' performances this year.
Then came the comparison with Deledio, even if the years were incorrect.

Lewis has been in the top 3 possie getters in the past 3 games and has been up in the best, and I am not here to make comparisons between both midfielders. I would rather Lewis, but Lids is and will continue to be a good player.
Its just about time Lewis gets recognized as a good young midfielder.

Lewis has been a great player for us since his first game. He is aggressive and has courage. His skills are improving every year. With him and Sewell, we can release Mitchell and Crawford further up or down the ground as the game dictates.

fwiw, I seem to recall Lewis being a bit of surprise selection at no.7 - many thought that was a bit early. ala josh carr or similar.

Jordan Lewis was robbed of the Rising Star. Deledio is the media's darling becuase he was more flashy in his first year. Lewis get the job done. Get on Lewis for the Brownlow.
