why do the afl.com.au ranking points (SC points) keep changing over half time?

i'm watching with keen interest as my final is going down to the wire...

i've got mcphee, ryder, and a 220 point lead, he has lloyd, lucas and bell... but over half time the points the players have scored has changed like 5 times... it's driving me nuts, anyone know why?

They also scale the scores. Don't know if this is done during or after the game though. In each game the average score for all players is 75 points.

Can anyone bother adding up the full scores for two games and actually verifying this?

It would mean total points would ALWAYS have to be 3300?

I verified this with the FREO Essendon and the Geelong Adelaide games.

I got 3300 for Gee-adel and 3301 for freo essendon..but i could have pressed a button incorrectly...

I've done a bit of testing, and it appears that there are some rounding errors, all upwards. But the basic theory is correct.

You're a bloody legend mate. Yet another piece of gem I've learned from you. Anymore insights?
