After the 2007 national draft, when his contract expires at his current club.
Now right now, I am not at liberty to say whom this guy is, but suffice to say I am thrilled that we've managed to have lured him away to Carlton, and that on the basis of the young players he has brought to his current club in the last 3-4 years, he would be in the top two best recruiting managers in the country. I heard this from a very reliable source, and I think you can take it as gospel, but clearly there won't be an announcement I would think until after the draft.
I would say though that Gregg Swann was a major influence in convincing him to come to Carlton
, nothing more can be said until after the National Draft.
The club is really going for a massive restructure and overhaul of their recruiting dept, and a lot more money and resources are going to be spent on getting more assistants/and aides to the club (gone are the days where you can just rely on one recruiting manager to scout for a club, there are just so many comps and games going on around the country) and the club sees recruiting as another major priority in rebuilding the club.
Also I think most assistant coaches, apart from Crosisca will probably be moved on.
