This is it. After a long season and tough finals series, we are left with two teams - one who will bask in premiership glory, the other will be left shattered and heartbroken.

The Bombers beat the Furies in week 1 of the finals and they have been on fire the last few weeks, culminating in a tight win last week against the Sharks. Their form has been exceptional and they would have to go into this match slight favorites, in my opinion.

Players to watch include Old Mav, danzan, nonchalance, dougthelegend and ant555.

The Furies were the best team thru the home and away season and they have fought back well from their finals loss, knocking out the Roys last week in a classic. They are a class act and if they play to ability, will be very hard to beat. Players to watch include Tugga, Hougie, sante, TFLUA-Tiger and punt_road_roar.

This match will kick off at 7:30pm this Friday. Be there to support your team.

Teams must be in before 9pm AEST Thursday.

Another year and another flag for the Dons, not sure about the players to watch though..... Bastard FR. ;)
 
Time for redemption. Players like myself, ant, boncer and nonchalance can remember what it's like to play in a losing grand final team. Its not an experience we expect to relive.

time to give 'em hell bombers. time to step up and show what we're made of.

So here we are. Two teams ready to face off in the hugest match of season 2007. Its all on the line ladies and gents. There will only be one winner.

So whats been happening at the bombers this week?

Pre Match festivities have kicked off, with captain of the Bombers, holding a press conference on Tuesday looking to discuss the possibilities of Chris Judd leaving West Coast to join the Big Footy Bombers next season. In a very frank exchange with the media, Bombers captain dougthelegend has suggested that the Bombers will try and trade some of their young up and comers Old Mav, danzan, nonchalance, and ant555.

This has caused quite a stir in the Bombers camp, as can be imagined but not as much as the suggestion that the Chaser group is going to aid the Bombers camp during the match, by attempting to re-enact the efforts of Helen Di Marco in the 1982 grand final, where the flasher happened to put the Tigers (the furies feeder club) off their game in the third quarter.

And whats been happening at the furies?

Well its always a big week down at Punt Road, especially if you are buying a beer in the Royal, but the Furies camp have been very very quiet indeed. Except that Tigers co-captain TFL Tiger has already released the delistings for 2007 even before the Furies B&F, eclipsing Kane Johnsons supurb efforts in 2006.

It also looks as though the end of season trip in 2006 seems to have spurred the Furies on in 2007. As a result a book outlining the trip to France and Russia will be launched at the big game.

Young up and comers ,LOL. I think both of us have been around for a while and are pretty established.
