Round 1 MOTR: Mt Buller Demons VS Southern Dragons @ The Snow Dome (16/11)

VS The Southern Dragons

The new season kicks off with a ripsnorter of a game between the new team on the block filled with wizened, experienced players, and a team that has been around since the beginning with an extremely young, fresh squad.

Both teams lost the opening game of the Pre-Season Cup only to both win their scratch match and to have their form turn around at the right moment, just before the season starts. Tarkyn_24's young Demons will be fit, firing and ready to go, hoping to make a name for themselves in the coming season.

The Dragons, in their first Sweet FA roster match after the merge of the Sharks and the Dragons are full of experienced players, many of whom who have tasted grand final success. With experienced leaders in Frankston Rover and Pie4Life, the Dragons are on the track to success in this coming season.

THE BACKLINE: Very smooth backline, led by Tarkyn_24, who, while being a makeshift full back, has been a very viable option. Larkis provides his usual height, while Mizza provides a link man. Headless and stmookeyj have proven they can run the ball, and dtm06 is a very beautiful kick.

THE MIDFIELD: Very silky midfield, although a huge turnover from the days of the V_Townsend, Tarkyn_24 and osmodiar attack. truebluenavyblues and ScottyD will be in the thick of it, -JCK- will be shutting down danger men in the midfield, and V_Townsend will contribute his usually free flowing game. A dangerous combo.

THE FORWARDLINE: Consists of three danger forwards, in Spadge, Deledio_To_Tambling and Girl Power, along with another tall option, 15Petterd15, and two flankers who are likely to spend time in the midfield. There's no shortage of goals here.

Tried to make the best squad possible; though with around 24 active players, not everyone gets what they want. Please be patient, I'll switch the team around plenty throughout the year.

It was a hard decision, and they're bound to get games throughout the year, but ossy and dan both were culled for the game due to the fact that we have 22 brilliant posting players, but only 20 spots. 700 posts in our season thread already, boys, good job.
