Carey v Mason
FORMER AFL star Wayne Carey may fight controversial rugby league star Willie Mason in a million-dollar boxing bout of the football codes next year.
The former Kangaroos star is considering an offer from Mason's manager, Greg Keenan, to step into the ring.

Re: Carey v Mason
Carey could win a lot of friends back at North if he decided to do this and give the proceeds to the club.
I doubt the thought would even enter his head TBH

I've got nothing against Wayne Carey personally, but I doubt he could pay his way back into the hearts of many anti-Carey supporters.
Onto the topic, pretty funny. I had a laugh when he said that they used to joke about whether you'd get knocked out for $1million. He'd get thrashed, but it's funny nevertheless.

Re: Carey v Mason
Didn't Carey retire mid-season because of a neck injury that risked paralysis if he continued playing?

Re: Carey v Mason
Is there a venue in the country large enough to contain their 2 egos?

Re: Carey v Mason
Saw Carey at Joburg airport 3 weeks ago and he looks as strong as an ox adn very fit! His girl was pretty fit too by the way
Carey apparently knows his way around a ring so it would be a good matchup i think!

Re: Carey v Mason
It would be good if Carey was paid per round then he might get smashed a bit more.

Re: Carey v Mason
And Canterbury-Bankstown supporters rooting for Carey (pun intended) and North supporters cheering on Mason.
Bizarre.
Despite the age and size differences, the Duck would go alright. Best at the club in his time with the dukes, by a fair way.
Unless big Willie can land a bomb, I reckon Carey would win this.

Re: Carey v Mason
it will be R.I.P Wayne Carey after the fight, would have been much better had Hall or Fevola accepted the offer
