This match looks interesting for just one reason; the Bombers might actually snare it. The Bigfooty Bombers have been very poor this season, lagging poorly behind the rest of the competition, the previous season's premiers are suffering a massive premiership hangover.
Meanwhile, the Gumbies, predicted top two my many pundits, have disappointed all season, though they began to right this last week with a hard fought win over the West Coast Wonders. Both squads share the same problem as Fremantle, no depth, and it is proving to be a massive worry. Hopefully one team can write a victory next to their name in the Round 4 box of their season, and continue the form throughout.
Bombers Player To Watch
Ant555 has been a lone figure throughout the year for the Bombers, and again the weight of responsibility will be put squarely on his shoulders this week. Interestingly, he was the only Bomber to manage more than 10 kicks last week (11) and he appears to be the only resistance against the Gumbies midfield.
Gumbies Player to Watch
Hairy Cat Mooney has taken over the forwardline reins this season, and he has provided some run and flair to the squad. After 3.2 last week, I would be very surprised if he didn't manage a similar total against a depleted Bombers outfit.
Teams to be in Thursday, 9PM, AEST.
