Utter nonsense! There is no such thing as "too tall" - just whether a tall player has (or can develop) the weight and skills to go with it. In this kid's case, he also has to make a difficult transition from soccer - that is the risk with him (as Hine implicitly acknowledges in the collingwoodfc.com article).

Don't feed the trolls. His club just picked up Oreal, who is taller than Keeffe and has a volleyball/basketball background.

he was elevated to the senior list towards the end of last season as someone was on the long term injury list...the club just haven't updated it yet

The club's updated it now, he's definitely on the rookie list.

how can someone be too tall in afl when height is one of the greatest advantages, youve never seen the kid play. i know this guy and he is a freak, a natural sportsman. so stick that up your rear end

I haven't seen the kid play but I'd be surprised if he managed a game this year - too many good, young mids in front of him. On the other hand, more pace certainly wouldn't hurt us and, if he shows a bit in the twos, Mick has shown a real desire to promote the young blokes. So, just maybe ----!
