Mitchell on the other hand has stolen the captaincy of the real captain Hodge and decides not to travel with the young up and coming team to Tasmania because he had a rough month, if he wants to lead a premiership team he'll have to learn to harden the **** up or he may aswell give the captaincy away. Poor effort from the new leader if you ask me.
Why was it Hodgey didn't get the captaincy again?

Surely you can see the difference Dapper... If Lloyd had of played I think it is safe to say you guys would have won. In hindsight the softness of the bloke cost you another win and it is not the first time.
In Mitchell's case the coach demanded he have a rest because he felt we would still win with Crawf coming back in.
There is a big difference.

If a fit Lloyd played then yes, maybe we would have (don't think it would be a certainty though, especially with the injuries we copped throughout the match), but a Lloyd that could hardy walk down his stairs let alone run properly like he was last week, no we wouldn't have.

Exactly, an injury is and injury.
Because of Llyod's image, any injury he suffers is less of one?
Its all ifs and buts regarding the loss, and in this case you might as well argue that if the tigers picked up your beloved buddy then your clubs fortunes maybe reversed.
Maybe if it was a final we would have risked it....but rd 4...come on H2F I would expect a far more intelligent argument from you

You mention Lloyd's image, but he is the captain of the club. Do you think Hird would have missed. Hardly. This was a winnable match for Essendon and you would think that with Lucas out, Lloyd would be the go to man

Kepler is no longer at the club. No relevance.
Never had a Courtney go top 10 at Essendon. No relevance
You want a 2nd year player to be made captain? Genius.
Probably should go back to just agreeing with H2F without trying to create something of your own.

Because he would've stopped our midfield breaking down and running out of legs in the last quater.

Well there's no point playing any player if they cannot contribute.
Hirdy injured his calf last year and missed games, if your injured your not fit, you don't play. Unless your club is "rebuilding".
I think your just sad that you missed seeing llyodys pre-goal routine on friday night John.
We didn't loose on Friday because Llyod didn't play, we lost because we ran out of legs with 1 fit player left on the pine in the last qtr.

Lloyd would have definately helped. This is undeniable SLATS. who would you rather kick to in the forward line, smooth laycock or lloyd.
I'm just replying to the thread which states that there is nothing wrong with lloyds calf

sounds like what they doing to me. doesnt it suck that they can instigate the card yet they walk away without even a warning. the only downfall about this site that they dont control there own. so basically they can do what they want to ya with no reprecussions. not a good way to run a website is it. whoever is running this site needs to grow some balls n take control of his mods. its pathetic and just disgusting . it will cost the site in the end
