Official Match Thread Round 21 MOTR - Wonders v Demons @ Subiaco

A huge clash between these two sides. The Demons have to win this game to make the finals. For the Wonders, a win gives them a slim hope of snaring the double chance, but would assure them a spot in the finals. A loss, and a win to the Shagons, will see them miss out altogether.

The D's were bitterly disappointing against the Furies at home last week and will need improved performances, especially from star player V_Townsend, who had little say in the match last week. Expect mattyboy_08 to take on one of West Coast's gun mids after a wonderful tagging effort on the Furies emperor last outing, while skipper Tarkyn_24 will again attempt to inspire his side with another of his consistently good games. The Wonders had a hard fought 1 point win over the Shagons in a thriller, and had stars all over the ground. Ruckman doggiesin08 continued his superb form last week, Kerrby did as he pleased in the guts while EKA and Team Mo' made key defensive plays last week. A lift from usual performers Peterss and ScottyD will make life extremely hard for Mt Buller.

I expect the Wonders to seal their finals spot with a good win at home, and consign the Demons to mothballs for season 07/08.

Got given BOG in match report yet failed to get a mention in opening post. I struggle to understand the relevance of YOTC kicking 9 goals? Diablo you do know he was playing in the Haws v Bombers game?

Dees, for about the seventh week in a row THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE. All of our toil for the season comes down to this one game, we have the easiest of equations, we win, we keep going, we lose, and the season's for nil. Boys, we've developed well, but our young squad looks as if it has run out of legs, we're 2-6 from out last 8 from memory, and on a 3 game losing streak.

Let's lift our game this week. This is our season. We wear the navy blue and red for a reason, ANZAC weekend, spot in the finals on the line, let's bleed for our club, our way of life.

Dees, it's slaying time.

Riccardo, nothing but respect, but you'll have to deal with the tough tagging of whoever ends up matching up with you all night. It won't be pretty, and hopefully we'll stay good mates,

Tall forwards Girl Power and Spadge have been moved into the backline to catch the Wonders offguard, and captain Tarkyn_24 has been thrust into his favoured position, the ruck, for only the second time in a career spanning nearly 50 games. Deestroy will find some form on the wing, and The Majestic has been included as a surprise inclusion onto the interchange bench, despite indifferent form throughout the season.
