NICK STEVENS
He is 28 years old but by no means past the peak of his career.
I think he is right in it, especially with C.Judd revealing him of the tag each week.
With a career average of 3.9 marks and 2 tackles a game, he is not really the type of player who racks up the huge numbers.
I usually lock him in for 85 points a game and can confidently see him averaging around this mark for the season.
A gun midfielder would average more like 100-105 points a game.
However, he has increased in price by $99,100 and looks to have some more improvement still to come so his selection has been a huge success.
I am not suprised by these numbers and i have actually paid very little attention to them seeing as though everyone has him and has had him from the start.
Well, at least any coach with a brain larger than that of Sam Newman would.
I have chosen to do a player summary on him though to help us discuss and debate the thought of trading him?
My Verdict: Yes, after Round 14
INTERESTING STAT
N.Stevens has "never" averaged over 90 points a game in any season in his whole career.
This suprised me once i read this stat.
Furthermore, he is actually averaging higher this year than he ever has in his career before.
This suprised me even more.
Now, with all this being said, i think we can confidently say that N.Stevens is a keeper but not a premium.
This is my take on it.
Some will agree, some will disagree and others will remain undecided.
I think the midfield players fluctuate a lot in price due to quiet games being tagged or having injuries or whatever.
The midfielders always seem to go up and down in price, not as much as the forwards but they still fluctuate a fair bit.
With this being said, a 100 point player such as a D.Swan or D.Cross will usually drop below $380,000 at least once during the season.
If we are very, very lucky, we may even see a K.Cornes or J.Corey drop below this price as well.
We will never see a J.Bartel drop this low though.

So, an upgrade to a player of this ilk would see an increase in about 15-20 points which is worthy considering that it will come at a very cheap cost.
That is my thinking behind it and i strongly suggest looking at trading Stevo as the season comes to an end only if you still have the trades up your sleeve.
