Lenny Hayes 16 touches in the first Quarter - A record?
I was just wondering if Lenny Hayes' 16 possesions in the first quarter is a record, I know that Ablett had 15 in the first against the Kangas a couple of weeks ago, could Hayes have just broken a record?

I'm pretty sure Marcus Ashcroft had 17 once. There are probably a few who have had more.
I am spewing. Had him in my SC team, and now he is gone for the night.

Re: Lenny Hayes 16 touches in the first Quarter - A record?
Just checked from the net that Marcus Ashcroft had 19 possies in the first quarter of the 1999 BL Vs WCE match. We also managed to kick 10.6 for the quarter, damn I loved that team!!!

Pretty sure Marcus had 19 touches in the first quarter, Round 17, 1999, against the Eagles, and in the days we could beat them (100points ). He went on to pick up 39 possesions and one Brownlow vote that day.
The next home game we played that year was against the Dockers, and we beat them by 114 points......... arrh, those were the days

Didnt Bowden have a fair few for the Tigers either last year or the year before one game? Was upwards of 16 I think.

I cannot believe it. To dominate a quarter like that and then get injured...
It better not be serious, Lenny has easily been our best player this year as well as our hardest working.

Re: Lenny Hayes 16 touches in the first Quarter - A record?
What about 16 in the first followed by 0 in the second?
Or has the GameDay neglected to add any to Lenny since quarter time?
EDIT: Injury would explain it.

Re: Lenny Hayes 16 touches in the first Quarter - A record?
The Saints are really up against it now, Pav kicked 4.1 for the half and Hayes is off, it would take a gutsy performance from the younger brigade to chalk up a win from here.
