As the title suggests, this thread is about your club's needs. So in 3-2-1 order, from most important to least important, make a educated guesstimate of who your club needs in position (Eg. 3-KP back, 2-Pacy midfielder, 1-Athletic Ruckman) and if you can be bothered, it'd be good to add an adjective in there like for example, a pacy midfielder to really pinpoint what the public's opinion is on this matter so phantom drafters out there know roughly what your club needs come draft day, so we can when needed, guess the pick with the club's needs. I'm doing this to help phantom drafters out there, and if possible, can we please leave out general discussion/questions until there is at least 15 posts.

And secondly, I know this is almost the same as another thread on this board that is like this, but it has gone off track a bit and it has a fair too many pages to read through for people, and people want something that's easy to understand without really looking closely into the posts a hell of a lot. I'll post near the conclusion of this thread a brief outline of what the general feel of public's opinions are on this matter.

So I'll go first...

Essendon
3. Tall, versatile KP player. (Hurley, Watts, etc)
2. Skilful midfielder (Rich, Suban, etc)
1. Best available (-)

3. Versatile KPP (Michael Hurley)
2. A-grade classy midfielder (Hamish Hartlett)
1. Best available

EDIT: Obviously I'd have Rich at number one, but we have 0.1% chance of getting him so I left him and Naitanui out.

1:Inside Mid
2:Best Available
3:Ruckman

There is a thread on virtually the same subject half way down the page called "What Will Your Club be Looking for Come Draft Day?". Couldn't you have looked a little harder? Or at all?

Read the first post buddy.

3. genuine rover with very good skills and height >179cm (Eg. Rich, Hartlett, Swift)
2. genuine rover with very good skills (Any height) (Eg. Walters, Jetta)
1. Best available.

3. A small/medium cumbing forward with alot of skills (Hartlett)
2. Fast medium midfielder (Zibell; many Adelaide fans say we will go for a midfielder ahead of a crumber but I dont think so:))
1. Whatever best is available

I'm expecting Adelaide to take a few KPPs this year in balance with taken only 1 tall last year, Kite, and even then he's more of a running tall in the Birchall mould.

1 - Fullback (Hurley)
2 - Classy Mid (Hartlett)
3 - Classy Mid (Ziebell)

1. KP Defender

2. Best Available

Geelong are pretty well positioned this year; with Ranga assurred and having picked up a bevy of promising KPPs last year, the only concern we really need to address is the age of Milburn-Harley-Scarlett. With Egan to come back, Taylor recruited, McKenna as a distant possibility, we need at least one more out of this draft.

carlton-
i will not do the obvious and name predicted No.1's.
i will be reasobable and do this players that will be more suitable to my clubs probable first-round pick, 7-8.

1. CHF
2. HB flanker
3. HF flanker / Midfielder

CHF= mckernan, trengove.
HB flanker= suban, o'keeffe.
HF flanker / Midfielder= yarran(if he slips a bit).

With that in mind (and I agree by the way), Lisle may be looked at. Trengrove if he fell, due to clubs worried about his ability to come back from ACL surgery.

Lisle would be more late second, early third round draftee I would think. I don't think any club will pick him up in the first round, that is almost a certainty.

7. Marking Forward.........With Speed!

*I really like the look of McKernan though, reminds me so much of his brother.
I wish he would slip to us, can probably develop into a chad cornes type player.

3. Natanui or Cordy, unfortunately cant have either, so the next best ruckman.
2. Strong, tall, powerful yet efficient disposal, can be used forward but predominantly as midfielder/utility: Ziebell in a nutshell, don't think he'll get down to us though.
1. Small forward, a Cyril type player.

going by brisbanes past drafts

1.best available even if its a tall forward which they have plenty of

2.midfielder with skills should be number 1 and hopefully will be number 1

now that black, power, johnstone etc arent getting any younger they need to draft a good midfielder

3.another good midfielder
