Anyone?

Just trying to settle an argument to see if people like Campbell or not and think he would be a popular choice as coach.

cough ... boys own club ..... cough .

This is getting scarier by the day.

I believe they're trying to make it unworkable for Wallace and he'll either stand down or bolt.
Sounds plausible 'cos I have absolutely no confidence in Tony Free and I reckon this is a likely scenario with Campbell going on what's being said around the traps.
Scary indeed :(
Campbell and Sheedy as mentor.
Sheedy would be a good mentor, but Campbell?
If Wallace had to go would prefer Chris Bond out of any of our ex players. He's at least done a reasonable apprenticeship.

Where`s JohnF when you need him :p

Campbell didn`t strike me as having all that much respect from his team-mates in his playing days , i will stand corrected if this was not the case but that is the slant i have on things . So why would have it as a coach ?

The more this goes on the more i think a "Ticket" was formed some months ago with an agenda with all the positions pre-determined and Tony Free was the bad cop sent in to get the ball rolling ... very dangerous and dictatorial way of doing things IMHO ...

.... regardless of any on-field progress .

TW may very well not be the one to coach us going forward , but the way the winds of change are being secreted through the place ... becoming more and more disturbing

Exactly ID. The current regime were voted in = people in the background weren't, but they seem to exert a lot of influence that we mere mortals don't.

couldn't play so why could he coach

I remember saying if I coached Campbell and he bounced the bloody ball
every time before he looked for an option I would drop him.
When are going to get some hardness.

Never seemed to have the Tiger Passion. There was a time when he was one of my favourite players, but I think that was because he had long hair and was one of our better players at the time. Although he did always seem more intelligent than the average player.

He was an extremely smart player just wasnt blessed with pace or wonderful skills. He was a fantastic clearance player and read the ball well, I think he could make a great coach and wouldn't be totally against it but no 5 year rubbish thanks.

When is this freakin club going to learn? The successful clubs have stable administrations and they commit to a plan. Just when this is starting to occur for the first time in thirty years we want to tear it all down. I liken last year to the year of disappointment Geelong had in 2006. I don't care what anybody says. Wallace is one of the best tactical coaches going round. Once he has the cattle we're gonna shit on every other team in the league. When he came to the club he had no structure to build on. He's had to start from scratch. No I want to follow through on the five year plan and beyond. An improvement of 10 wins 1 draw from 3 wins 1 draw is not enough?

And what was really great these last four years was that most supporters hung in there because they saw someone with a plan rather than making it up as they went. They might be feeling a bit nervous now about TW, but there was a lot of support for a long time. Unheard of that Richmond supporters could be that loyal for that long lol. Which goes to show how much support TW was getting for what he was doing.

a fine player, an aloof character that struggled to galvanise the playing group as captain although we did make a final series in 2001...I dont see him as senior coaching material.if I wanted to fuel your little conspiracy I would favour Lamberts name being linked to the job, he remained great mates with free.
