Brownlow dresses
I don't expect this to be a very hot thread, or one visited by the lads, but it comes but once a year, so I'm posting my Highs and Lows.
First up - the shocker of the night from Brent Harvey's wife. The Harveys had a a bad night all round. Harvey had been tipped as a favourite all week in the media, but not sure he was even in the top 10 in the end.
I didn't think this plunging neckline style worked particularly well even on Rebecca Twigley two years ago, so certainly to be avoided if you're more substantial than a twig.

Re: Bronlow dresses
I liked this navy number - elegant and understated. Just right for a bad boy's mum when he's on the comeback trail.
RT always looks well, but no thanks to the dress. I preferred the peachy one she was wearing in the papers during the week - apart from the string-bag straps. I loved her navy dress from last year. I call this dress - Roman Sandal Gown.

Re: Bronlow dresses
The Captain's wife looked gorgeous. The Grecian style seemed popular last night.
And Burnsy indicated his choice for successor.

Re: Bronlow dresses
Carla always gets it just right, without having to bare bits and pieces to get attention.

Re: Bronlow dresses
RT is surely a stunner but what the hell was with the 'Dallas' mid-80's look last night? The Age's slideshow was somewhat bewildering and tragic in equal parts.
Do the wives and girlfriends go out of their way to look like nymphs on acid when they go to these things?
Might I say that Swannie looked far more appropriate this year ;-)

Have to agree - Mrs Mac is one of the classiest supporting roles in the AFL.

Re: Bronlow dresses
This dress looks better in the photo than it did on TV. I don't like ruching on anyone older than 7. And congratulations to Paul for polling so well, even though they give Collingwood nothing, ever, as HOMP says.

Re: Bronlow dresses
In the bad hair department - Check out this Charlies Angel.
Funny thing is that I know her and used to be her Maths tutor. The caption cracked me up...
" Bomber pin-up Andrew Welsh loves the camera's attention - and so does his partner, it seems."

Re: Bronlow dresses
If you have to get dressed up when you're pregnant, this is how to do it.
I thought Christi Malthouse looked lovely too, but don't know if there's a photo of her available.

Re: Bronlow dresses
Tom Harley's wife is a mad member of the Marty Clarke Club and had this dressed designed in his honour. Another Grecian one - stunning, and not surprising as she's a fashion editor or something.

I used to try to get my hair like that, but it never worked. And now I know better.
Here's another shocker. I call it the Bandage Dress.

Re: Bronlow dresses
BS with his date - Sandra Sully. The bodice of this dress reminds me of Roman armour.
Another let's-just-wrap-some fabric-round-your-neck-and-hope-it-falls-well number.

Re: Bronlow dresses
Pretty fabric if not so well structured. Beautiful girl.
Any mods out there? Just realised I've left out my "W" in the thread title, but can't fix it.

Re: Bronlow dresses
This would look good on a beach, in cotton. Bryce Gibbs' girlfriend.
