Casting down the Saints

Is there anybody out there? I can't stop believing we are ready to smash the Saints Hoodoo.

If Warnock can deliver as our No 1 ruck option surely we have the tall options to limit the impact of Nick and Koz.

Any thoughts on who best to place on them and also who can take care of Milne?

Armfield on Milne. Actually, Browne and Armfield. The little prick always kills us.

Roo you can't really match up on. He's a freak. Waite gives it a good crack though.

There is no team I want to beat more except the last years Grand Finalists maybe on a par.

I just hate them because their club is pathetic organisation that will probably never win another premiership. The thing I hate the most is that no one would tell you they were a Saints supporter till about 2002/3 when they started winning games and they think they are so good because of it, yet they didn't win anything

Milne - just cos he's a migit doesn't mean we have to put a migit on him, what about Jammo or Walker? Browne might not be quick enough but who knows and Armfield is worth a shot.

kosi is ackland in disguise. he's crap. never done anything.

reiwoldt is mentally frail & his head is the wrong size for his shoulders.

Walks would be great on that rodent, has the speed that every time milne touches it he can slam his head into the ground.

I just want to bury this pathtic rabble of a football club that is the nomadic, homeless and soulless organisation called St Kilda.

Once we beat them i will thoroughly enjoy reminding them that the only two things they've had to get excited about in their 111 pathetic years are a fluked Grand Final win (although in fairness it was over the Colliwobbles so i'll pay that one) and their 10 game "streak" against us.

I still stand by my assertion that i've made to all my St Kilda mates since 2002 - CARLTON WILL WIN A PREMIERSHIP BEFORE ST KILDA DOES

I have known so many whinging anti Carlton saints fans in my life that I have come to dislike them more than any other, and would be happy if those that never saw 66 dont live to see a flag.

Unfortunatly I don't think it will be this year guys....

Begly, farran ray, king, garndiner, dempster and possibly carrol are all fantasic pick ups by the saints over the lasty couple of years.

The Clarke Brothers ability in the backline will provide a massive "rebound effect" which will be hard to stop.

Also I think this year that taking Luke Ball over judd will really turn out to be a masterstroke

It is isn't it.

We managed to sort out a few 'runs' that opposition teams had been enjoying against us this year. Beating the Aints is probably THE one i'm most looking forward to ending next season. I think we're ready for them too.

Can you believe we've lost 11 straight to those pretenders!? FMD it used to take 'em half a century to knotch up that sort of return against us.

Harsh, back in 05(?) he was in brilliant form for St Kilda and this year was very disappointing from him.

Sensational player when playing at his best but has been far off it for a couple of years now.

Walker was my option, I'm just worried about Milne's turning circle. The guy turns tighter than a crap under full flush.

Whoever gets him needs to get under his skin. He plays rubbish when he gets annoyed and a few calls go against him.

Is he the most hated player in the AFL. Would love to see a thread on this.

I think Kosi has been unlucky

Probably best suited at FF when Gehrig was there and didnt get the sustained time there he needed.

Watched a tape of him last year and his awareness re where to run to give a team mate an option, tackling and sheperding is atrocious.

He looks so lost so often

Well it's been over 7 years since we defeated St Kilda. Our backline back then included Silvagni, Rice (his last ever game), Beaumont, Manton, McKay and Franchina, whilst our midfield included Bradley, Camporeale and Koutoufides, who won the 3 brownlow votes.

It has been way too long.

Warnock played well against King this year. Split the ruck and gave the Freo duds some good use of the footy (which they wasted).

Apart from Milne, the Saints have smashed us in the ruck this year and I think more than many other teams the addition of Warnock will help us vs Saints.
