The Wonders were stunned last week when overrun in the last quarter by a rampaging Baghdad Bombers outfit. They will head into their Elimination Final against the Furies determined not to bow out in straight sets. Experience is everything when it comes to Finals Footy and despite the Furies being the reigning premiers it is hard to judge just how much they took out of last weeks game against the Gumbies with pretty much no pressure applied for the whole day as they headed in with a 5 goal buffer. The Furies did, however, allow far too many scoring shots to their opposition last week and will not be so lucky with the result if they do so again.
 
Peterss: Its time to bounce back

West Coast Wonders midfielder Peterss has urged his team-mates to put last weeks result behind them and do everything in their power to bounce back in this weekends elimination final against the Furies at Subiaco Oval.

"We obviously are still al hurting after that last quarter fade out last week but if we let it get to us we will bow out in straight sets so we need to forget about it totally abd focus on the task at hand and that is a do or die match against the Furies this weekend at our home ground."

"We are a quality side and we can make the grand final and this weekend will hopefully show that...We are thriving for success and want to win the big one so we know its all bodies on the line and helping each other out this weekend to get the result we want"

Here we go, our last 2 games have been must win and this is the same.

The pressure is all on them, they don't want to go out in straight sets whereas we've already had an unexpected win.

Relieved we have PHX - looks like he's the best captain in the league by default. :eek:

No day was set for the team submission so it would be a bit harsh to rule against the Wonders on this one. While I am dissappointed no team has been submitted yet the post could be interpreted to be 9PM on either the day I posted, Friday night as was the ruling throughout the year or even on game day (which is normally Sunday).

I will grant an extention to the Wonders until 7PM tomorrow night.
 
The Wonders team will go in unchanged due to Mop's post.
While the submission 'day' was never posted in the first post I do understand some Furies players may well be dissappointed with this decision and I do apologise to the Furies team for my oversight. I really do hope that the result is not a Wonders win by 1-30 points.
