The East Side Hawks had the weeks rest heading into the biggest SFA game of the year as well refreshed favouries while the Bombers come in after a solid win against the West Coast Wonders last week. The Hawks, who are just as much out to win this one for this season but also to atone for the one that got away last season due to an off day where the underdog Furies accounted for them by 21 points, are also high on confidence though against this Bombers outfit after big wins against them by 83 and 57 points in their past 2 matches, both of which are fresh in the Bombers memories having only been 2 and 4 weeks ago. Gilbert Hodge was awsome in the most recent clash between the 2 teams gathering 32 possessions and booting 4 goals, as was Boncer34 who also collected 32 possessions to go nicely with his 16 hitouts and 5 goals 5 behinds. The battle of the Hawks key forwards Quinzate1 and YOTC against the Bombers 2 tall defenders in Doggiesin08 and Loopy_cam could ultimately decide the result with the battles being evenly split over the past couple of weeks. The battle up the other end will be just as entertaining with veteran Hawks Full Back FiveStrings set to go head to head with young Bombers spearhead Hawk Patrol who has booted 7 goals in his past 2 matches against the Hawks. Other key players are spread all over the ground with names such as Hawks1523, BigMan, Wally, Legitimatic, Tristo, Shadow Man, GreaT Source, Old Mav, Bachar Houli all house hold names keen to make their mark on the big day.​
