Can anyone acquire stats regarding the youngest premiership side. Which side has the lowest average age?
In my other thread about most average premiership side, I thought Collingwood 1990 was very young as well. Quite surprising that they didn't win more premierships as they hadnt hit their prime yet. Baby Bombers?

Would have thought Brisbane's age would have been higher. They certainly had some experiences players during their great run

17 of Brisbane's 22 premiership players in 2003 had at least 100 games experience and 10 of them had over 180 games

Essendon (1897 and 1924) not included in the above list because there was no GF in those years.

Essendon (1924) is one of the oldest premiership sides in history based on the average age of the other finals they played in. They'd be in the top 2 or 3 and only clearly behind Geelong (2022).

Essendon (1897) is roughly around 24Y, 250D-350D based on my estimate.

Collingwood (1958) is the youngest premiership side in history.

Really interesting to me that all of these 18 youngest sides all fell within a short, short timeframe from 1951 to 1978.

Even more so - that the 11 youngest sides all played between 1957 and 1969. Probably the intersection of a rapidly intensifying fitness workload and poorer medical treatment at the time shortening everyone's career.
