considering Ryders influence this year you can take Hilles 9 games away off the 36 total making it 27. Fletcher missed like 7 games but hes crap now anyway making it 20...

This has you in 8th place so suck it up.

Ha ha ha ha ha

It's to simplistic just to base it on your top 10 from last year. What about players that have missed a lot of footy last year and this year? You can add 14 games that Jesse Smith has missed to norths tally.

We could even drill it down finer to the top 5 B&F from last year.

Blues had Judd, Fev, Murphy, Gibbs and Carazzo in their top 5 last year.

Of those 5 players, the only player to have missed games this season is Carazzo with 8. The others have played every match this year.

Which begs the question. How bad would they be if they lost Judd or Fev for an extended period ?

Agreed. And Robbie Tarrant's shoulder reco? Also, you ahve to consider the importance of the player to the team (eg. injury to Boomer Harvey > injury to Cruize Garlett)

You just invented this bullshit criteria so Essendon would be on top didn't you?

lol. :) No, it's actually correct -

Was in The Age this morning. Scroll to the bottom of that article in the link provided.

Speaks volumes that Essendon are still in the top 8 with the amount of crucial players that have missed extended spells of football. Every club is quick to point to the amount of injuries on their list - but these particular statistics unpack this myth further by outlining injuries of actual importance.

North are usually quick to talk up their injury list throughout the year that has consisted of mostly untried youngsters. Their 13th position on the ladder justifies just about where they are in terms of the competition.

So you know very little about football don't you?

Ryder going to the ruck takes run away from Essendon in the back half.

You would be better to add another "Essendon are sh1t" comment than one which proves how little you know about football.

This ladder doesn't take into account players who didn't play last year, particularly new players. Add Ziebell, Wright and Warren to North's tally.

Interesting stat, but I'd like to see what it looks like if you take into account games missed by players who are considered part of the best 22, because that would be a better representation of depth.

So players still on AFL lists this year who were top 10 B&F finishers in 2008 are not considered part of a best 22 of any team? Staggering comment.
