C section 2010

I see the Wellers have opted for Tim Killworth as 2010 senior coach.

Wonder whether he will look to promoting juniors rather than filling the team with recycled AFL players.

I know South Districts couldn't wait to see the back of him. I wonder wether he will bring a timekeeper with him.

It didn't matter in the end, but there was no need to stoop that low.

Re: C section 2010

I see Harry Harisiou (how many clubs has Harry coached) has been appointed Bulleen Temp 2010 senior coach. So maybe the rumour that big Dave Matthews is set to return to Caulfield Grammarians as Footy Director has some weight.

Harry coached BT in B grade from 1991-1994 and has done an unbelievable job with our under 19's for the past 7 years. He also coached Banyule and St Leos. A very very good appointment for us. Hope to be back on this board in 2011.

Dave has a few good opportunities. Parkdale is one. I think he is still keen to coach - but closer to home.

Is Rocky Balboa back coaching in 2010?, he had some harsh comments on a couple of coaches this year.

I hope the club does well, ugly. I’m not amongst the few on this board who derive delight in kicking district clubs. It’s been too long since a district club has been a force in the top echelon of the comp.

Harry has been a magnificent servant of your club and amateur footy in general. But he’s been around the coaching seen for yonks with more an adequate than outstanding record. And it’s been awhile since he has had a senior role. As I said, I hope it proves a success.

I know the journey out to BT was a factor in big Dave not continuing out your way, but I also thought he wanted a less onerous involvement than coaching. It will be interesting to see what happens. He’d be a great pick-up for Caulfield as Football Director, that’s for sure. Don’t be surprised if the Sinclair boys return to the fold next year either. That will make them a very formidable unit.

Can someone tell me what the equivalent role of a Football Director is in a "District" Club?
