Welcome to Future Magpies Watch for 2010, the thread where we discuss and track young talent with the inside running to the Collingwood list. Please note that this thread is not for junior players you know or think have talent; Collingwood actually have to have the rights to drafting them as with pre-listed rookie prospects, father-son prospects or NSW scholarship holders. :)

What about Darcy Moore?

Darcy Moore should be playing U14's in 2010, so he's a bit young to get concerned about just yet, Dave. Ned McKeown's due to be playing U15's, so he might get a guernsey in the U15 Schoolboy's Championships later in the year, or possibly (but less likely) the U15 V/Line Country Championships.

BTW, there's no need to be quoting any of the first few posts, especially as they'll only be updated and edited as we go.

Cheers guys. :)

So the questions that are plaguing me right now are;
a) will Witts or Perry play for the GWS TAC Cup side this year?
b) will those same guys make the Rams side for the U18 National Champs?
c) who aside from Yakimov is eligible for the U16 Rams in 2010? When is the cut-off for boys turning 17?
d) will Young be senior listed in the 2010 National Draft, or rookied as with Reed in 2008?
e) will Young play U18 Champs as he did last year, or just stick with the Collingwood VFL side (suspect the latter)?
f) will O'Kennedy bulk up enough to join Paul Cribbin in the 2010 rookie draft as an (Irish) International Rookie for Collingwood?

All this and more will be revealed. Stay tuned! :D

Bloody Hope so because would love to see them play

b) will those same guys make the Rams side for the U18 National Champs?

You would think so.

Tyson Carracher?

d) will Young be senior listed in the 2010 National Draft, or rookied as with Reed in 2008?

Hopefully Senior List because that would mean he played very well in the VFL

e) will Young play U18 Champs as he did last year, or just stick with the Collingwood VFL side (suspect the latter)?

Probably better to stay with the VFL Side playing Senior Footy then playing with kids

f) will O'Kennedy bulk up enough to join Paul Cribbin in the 2010 rookie draft as an (Irish) International Rookie for Collingwood?

Is O'Keenedy any Good?

All this and more will be revealed. Stay tuned! :D

Just to add to former players sons:
Craig Stewart's son will be playing U16's
Gary Pert's son will also be playing U16's

But not sure if either have played in any sort of rep. team and Pert doesn't come under F/S anyway.

Who is Craig Stewart?

Is that son of Craig Stewart named James? I wasn't sure if he was related to Craig, but had him down as U16's this year. Will, who I'm pretty sure is Craig's son, would be in U14's in 2010.

In 1979 Craig Stewart played most of the season always kicking a goal or two in his role as back up ruck/key forward.

He was dumped leading up to the Grand Final for Derek Shaw.

Derek Shaw didn't get a stat for the game, not a kick, not a handball, Carlton won by 5 points.
