Adam Goodes has you all suckered in.....
20.33% of all teams have this perennial SC favourite in their team.
However, now given the disappearance of Mickey O and Big Bad Barry, he is playing up forward more as a goal kicking target and much less in the midfield.
What does this mean for you?
$607,200 of wasted SC cash on a player that will need to kick 5 goals just to crack 100
Get off now while you still can
Buddy was the SC spud of 2009.
Goodes will be the SC spud of 2010

But quick to jump to conclusion mate, don't you think? I don't have him in my team, but over the years we have seen just how good a player he has been. Very capable of kicking bags of goals, like he did agaisnt Fremantle last season. He will perform, just be patient.

Re: Adam Goodes has you all suckered in.....
His role has changed.
He wont get 25 HBG's at 90% effectiveness and 12 contested markes anymore
He will get 8 kicks, 5 uncontested markes and 2 goals every week.
Value will drop to high $490k's by mid season.
Waste

Goodes stats from last year warrant a closer look than that.

Anybody who had him over O'Keefe are a bit on the dull side anyway.

I am with Dennis on this one. Goodes will not score well this season and there are far better players like ROK and j brown for a cheaper price.

I don't know about this...with White and Bradshaw (and Seaby even looking dangerous when he pushes forward), I don't see why Goodes can't spend a lot of time in the midfield (not that I have him in my team).

Pre-pop-quiz disclaimer: I don't have Goodes.
Pop-quiz: where was Goodes playing when he knocked out a lazy 223 against the Tigers last year?

Re: Adam Goodes has you all suckered in.....
Disagree completely.
He actually played the last five or six matches at CHF last season and averaged good numbers, even without that crazy Richmond blowout score. This isn't a new position for him per se.
As much as I wanted him to start with him, I thought O'Keefe's value was better, but Goodes will definitely be in my forward line at some point this year.

Two poor'ish' games and you're handing out the big "I told you so"?
Goodesy will be top 5 forward by the end of the season, no doubt.

I've got Goodes AND O'Keefe.
You can't complain with a consistent 100 or so each week, but you can complain at having paid $600k for it.

Re: Adam Goodes has you all suckered in.....
The OP was so ignorant and full of holes that I couldn't be ****ed refuting it.
But I will say that I dont know what games the Champion Data blokes have been watching, because A Goodes was amongst Sydney's best players both weeks and is yet to get a SC ton. Had a hand in no fewer than 9 goals in week 1. Topped the DT ton in week 2. SC scores - 98 and 82. In years gone by, it wasn't uncommon for Goodes to get a 60 in DT and well over the ton in SC. Is the love affair over? Are the Champion Data team hurt that Goodesy promotes and plays DT?
