State of Origin SoO Grand Final: Vic Metro vs Allies @ MCG

Preview
The Grand Final this week with the two best teams of the carnival facing off. Vic Metro have been the best team by far, with a stunning percentage of 141.23 by smashing last year's champions Western Australia(79 points) and defeating Vic Country(26 points).

The Allies have done what they need to win, winning 2 games despite copping a heavy defeat in Round 2 from Western Australia(54 points). Of course, the Allies were the only team to beat Vic Metro during the carnival, and will be looking to replicate that game again.

It builds to be a fantastic game with class players all over the ground for both sides. The Allies will need to keep Vic Metro's power midfield in check, with OldMav, Freakie and (joint) Man of the Series winner HBK619. cooney has been the form ruckman of the carnival, and will look to hurt the Allies around the ground. It will be interesting to see if the Allies lock down their opponents, or take them on head to head, with their own powerful players such as sausageroll, Reardo44, Pacemaker and Gippy all having sensational carnivals. The battle of the power forwards will be interesting, with EFL Boy(Vic Metro) and ShaunDuggan(Allies) going head to head at opposite ends of the ground.

Allies Roaring to Go....

Former Allies skipper RoaringUniLions (aka Chezwick) has spoken for the first time since stepping down as Allies Captain, saying his squad is ready to go.

'We rebounded really well after the Western Australia game so we're pretty happy the fact we're now in the Grand Final.'

Chezwick stepped down this week due to personal reasons, and personally elevated West Australian born Pacemaker to Captain.

'He was a logical choice considering he saved the Allies more than myself by getting the teams up on time. Where I failed as Captain, he stepped in, so its only fair that he leads the team on Grand Final day'.

When quizzed about HBK619's comments in regards to Vic Metro playing the Allies":

'Nothing new to be honest, no one every gives the Allies a chance. They won't rate us because we're not from traditional footy states. I mean last week, some South Australia told us to go back to playing Rugby. All I know is we've made a pretty good team this year and a Grand Final appearance says so. I can't wait to see some bruised egos when the Allies get the State of Origin Title'.

The "Allies" don't even have an Origin so therefore they are not eligble for the title. Hell they even have WA ringin as their stnad in temporary captain. Shambles, probably will put the left boot on the right foot as well.

I heard Slazenger have made you guys velcro football boots to save the embarassment of tripping over your laces on the big stage!
