So Collingwood played very well tonight and won the game. Watching the game they were the best team on the night and deserved the win*.

*subject to clear advantages.

Freo looked a little slow and behind the pace, they are usually a very quick side, the amount of time they have had to travel this year vs collingwood clearly came into effect in the last half.

One interesting statistic to take out of this game is that it was Collingwoods first real AWAY game of the season (it's round 8 btw), Fremantle have had to travel further during the week than Collingwood has (from QLD to WA instead of MLB to WA). So the club playing a home game had to travel further than the away side.. nice rigging of the system AFL!

Infact the draw is so biased that Collingwood over 8 weeks have travelled less than Fremantle has in 1 week

As a Collingwood supporter, how can you be proud when your club gets such obvious bias from the AFL for decades? Bad luck tonight Freo, one upside to this is once finals hit Collingwood will screw it up again.

Even if they do win it will be funny to see Eddie shaft Mick after finally winning a grand final for the club.

In fact, when rotations get capped next season, Collingwood will struggle to make the top 8 in 2011.

Won't happen, but if it does we'll pay the fine to use extra rotations.

Something your poverty stricken mob wouldn't be able to do.

Yer hopefully it hlps North Melbourne... You duds need all the help you can get... And as for Brisbane what was your excuse for Freo beating You at HOME last week???:cool:

Re: Don't let the Collingwood pretenders fool you, lets take a look at the stats.

collingwood are shit.

Your opinion doesn't matter here, Welcher.

Collingwood are a good football side this year, as they have been over a number of years.

Collingwood are a good side and no where in my post did i say they were a bad side. The problem is the AFL system and the fact they get carried through the first 22 rounds each year.

Take a look at Freo, they are going really well. They came up against what is apparently the no 1 or 2 side in the comp. This SHOULD have been an even match.

Unfortunately due to the AFL looking after $$$ instead of a fair comp once again Collingwood got an armchair ride in what should have been a very competitive match.

It is an absolute disgrace that a match involving no 1 & 2 on the ladder should be rigged to the point where:

1) The team playing at "home" had to travel further in the week

And even worse:

2) One of the teams traveled more in 1 week, than the other team has traveled in 8.

5 wins interstate in a row 12 of last 14 get over it tossbag

I understand that you Collingwood mob aren't too smart (love the avatar by the way).

Let me explain this simply for you.

When you play away, the clubs you are playing have usually traveled 10 times the distance of australia during the season than you have. Take this Freo game for example.

It is easy to quote a stat and say "well we have won heaps when we play interstate!" but you are ignoring the issue.

The issue is even when you do finally have to travel interstate.. the clubs you are playing have had to fly back and forth across Australia a few times. This results in a well rested Collingwood team jumping on a flight and playing a completely knackered interstate team that has covered 10 times the distance Collingwood have. You would have to be a complete fking moron to not understand this.

You are gifted games each year due to this.

Keep turning a blind eye to it though and thinking your team is actually good, it has served you well in September.

With his outstanding recruitment , M. Voss has made sure Brions wont be making the finals for few years :thumbsu:

Kickittobrown, you are obviously yet another battler who does not understand that you get to play 11 interstate teams on your home patch each year, whilst we play perhaps 4 at best. This offsets any advantage we get from lack of travel, as we play teams on neutral territory. Sit there and let that digest for a good 5 hours, its possible you still might not get it.

I cannot wait to rape your reject backline and fatty past it midfield in a couple of weeks :thumbsu: Hope to see you there champ.

Re: Don't let the Collingwood pretenders fool you, lets take a look at the stats.

come back and talk to me when you have demolished the grand finalists.
Why would we when we demolished your cheating scum bad lot just two rounds ago??

Saints have nothing to do with you, nor does us beating the Saints.

Welcher.

And for the OP and everyone else Get the f**k over it ffs, and concentrate on your own side, who is struggling badly at the moment.
And to Brad Roo, if you put this much effort into your own club maybe they wouldn't be lining up at the Salvos or setting up lemonade stands on Sundays.

You forget the fact that the interstate clubs get a real home ground advantage 11 times a year.

Re: Don't let the Collingwood pretenders fool you, lets take a look at the stats.

Here's a curly one for you where do Brisbane play in rounds 7, 8, 9 and 10? I believe the answer is Gabba, Gabba, AAMI stadium and Gabba. Collingwood from rounds 7, 8, 9 and 10? MCG, Subiaco, MCG and Gabba. So the way i read it in the month leading up to the Collingwood v Brisbane game Collingwood would have travelled more the Brisbane. Not to mention a couple of 6 day breaks thrown in there for the pies.

Re: Don't let the Collingwood pretenders fool you, lets take a look at the stats.

Collingwood travelled across Australia aswell... we travelled 2 days before the game.
