Alright here we go. I just got an email from a company who manufacture all kinds of sporting apparel but specialize in AFL stuff. I received the email (I'm guessing) because I was the original creator of the Create your footy jumper thread.

Pretty much he has asked if anyone was keen on getting their designs made in very small quantities. At the moment I'm not sure exactly how much it would cost but I can find out the information for you guys.

Am I right that the guernseys won't be able to contain sponsor logos or team logos?

The "Sublimation" page suggests a minimum order is 10.

I am a bit of a stalker when it comes to this sort of stuff.
So here's what I did.

I googled their phone number and got nothing.
Then googled their mobile and got the coach of the GDFL team.
From there I found he got sacked as coach at the last club for threatening to kill one of the Reserves players, but we've all done that.
Seems a bit entrepreneurial, as he also has a fashion label, selling printed T-Shirts all through Victoria.

To me, company seems legit, and I too would be interested to see prices.

I am also really interested. We will then have to create or own logos and sponsors which would be cool. You can take designs really anywhere to get a one off made off your design, but as this is more AFL specific overall it may be better and qualit may be higher

Okay here's how it's going to work.

I'll be running a competition and the winner gets their jumper made for free. The only thing that cannot be done is using AFL logos and sponsor logos. Which is to be expected, seeing it is copyrighted.

Thoughts so far?

I'd be in this too...

Been thinking about copyrighted logos and thinking of knock-off logos often seen in $2 shops and the like. What about something similar?

They are the worst logos I have ever seen. They could easily be remade 10 times better. I am all for the comp, I will be making custom logos, merging some together with a custom name.

One other thing I noticed, we can all create a design, but if we want it made we would hve to provide HQ logos and images to be put on the jumper if it were to win. If the logos were low quaity, printing them on the jumper would be very poor so we have to consider these factors.

Of course they could be remade 10 times better. I'm using a notebook comp's touch pad, if I had a graphics tablet and vector software, or purchased some of those official fonts, then I'd be able to do things far better. I just took some of the logos posted on the Sponsorship thread and did some quick editing just for laughs.

Person: Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side.
CAB12: That is the worst joke I have ever heard. You could have told it 10 times better, maybe if you upgraded the road to a highway and it crossed at pedestrian lights.

Yeah I know what you mean, I was just maing sure if people entered they would need to provide HQ logos so if they win it can actually be made.

I have already made some custom/re made into custom logos.

Hey I aint saying we shouldn't just meking sure people know so that do not go overboard with un realistic approach. Of course its up to them, hope you know what I mean.
I by no means saying stick to simple designs cos wheres the fun in that lol.
Just saying HQ stuff on the jumper, easier to pull off on final :D

How about make a real life guernsey of the jumper that wins the Bigfooty jumper competition. The website could have a new logo!
