This is my prediction but some teams need to finalise their lists still eg. Victory striker

Teams like Perth, Wellington, Adelaide should start well as their squads have been settled and had a long pre-season together.
Melb Victory, Melb Heart, Newcastle will start slow with signing still to arrive for Victory and Jets and Heart are a brand new side still learning the teams chemistry.

Hmmm, a lot of love for Glory. Not sure if that's a good thing for us.

Grand-Final Champions - Sydney FC if Fox Sports have their way. Otherwise it'll be us hopefully.
Wooden Spoon - North Queensland
Johnny Warren Medalist - Nick Carle (Foxsports, Frank Lowy and Jesse Fink will make sure that happens seeing he's back in Australia as a European failure)
Rising Star (Under 20) - Ben Kantranovski
Golden Boot (And how many) - Jelic or Fowler 12 goals (if either of them stay fit)
Best Foreigner - Paul Ifill.
Best Signing - Nick Carle (see above)
Worst Signing - Kristian Sarkies. He was gone before the injury.
The Ladder - God knows, it's the A-League and anyone can beat anyone thanks to the salary crap, awful refereeing and other numerous factors

1st to 6th - Sydney FC, Perth Glory, Gold Coast, Melbourne Victory, Melbourne Heart and Wellington Phoenix in any order.

7th to 9th - Adelaide, Mariners and Newcastle Jets in any order.

10th and 11th - Brisbane and North Queensland.

Sarkies was playing quite well before he got injuried, he was playing as a DCM rather then an attacking mid

Damn, I knew he would have done something like that..curse my ignorance.

Ok the worst signing will be some random brazilian that comes to the league, they always seem to be worse signing unless someone picks up Nick Rizzo as injury cover halfway through the season.

Also some people expecting some massive goal scoring efforts. Considering that Archie had the best season when the Victory were dominating with 15 in 06/07 (that included the 5 in the GF). Some seasons have seen single figures win the Golden Boot.

06/07 was a 21 game season. We now have a 30 game season.

If the Golden Boot isn't around the 15-20 mark I will be very surprised.

EDIT: Actually Danny Allsopp was the Golden Boot in 06/07 with 11. Last season the Skunk had 19 in a 27 game season.

And he missed a couple of games too with suspension/injury didn't he?

I have a strong feeling that Melbourne Victory will struggle.

Muscat may still have the football brain but doesn't have the legs anymore.

Vargas regressed last season and I don't expect any improvement.

Carlos Hernandez was awesome and carried victory a lot last season, I don't think he can do it again, especially with an injury interrupted pre season for someone that struggles with fitness.

Archie Thompson is out until 2011 and Robbie Kruse is the only striker on their books. Who is going to score their goals? Kruse also is too slight to be leading the line anyway. Ideally he should be an impact player off the bench.
