Re: U18 mids likely to go high
Thats pretty typical. Metro must have romped in the champs with that many dominant mids.

Smith has been playing in defence for the senior team at Woodville-West Torrens. His leadership style is steady. He could go in the first round but he’s more likely to go in the second.
|
Jeez you would be wrapt if you got him in the 2nd round wouldn't you?

He'll go top 10. He was runner up in the Larke Medal and the winner is already drafted.

Re: U18 mids likely to go high
Even though inside midfielders isn't a list need, if he was there at our 2nd round selection I'd probably cream my pants.

No Swallow?
Smith won't last till the second round, do they realize the first round is some 25 picks in 2010?

They also state Hallahan increasing stock to a second rounder now.....wouldn't mind some of that action in the second.
May be able to pick up Prestia as a rookie as well......
Eastern, yep, I seriously think they are unaware of the 24 picks that are in the first round.

THE NAB AFL Under-18 Championships showed there will be plenty of early draft picks used to acquire midfielders this year with plenty of talent on display.

Nothing like being specific, or using the same word twice in one sentence. Quality journalism Daff.

Both going to the Bulldogs under F/S picks, although both probably rated as first rounders on an open market.

Re: U18 mids likely to go high
I'm probably wrong but if another club offers to use their first round pick for Wallis/Libba, then the Dogs have to use a first round for them. However, what happens if this happens to both players? Will the Dogs get away with it by using a 1st and 2nd Round pick?

Correct. The dogs just have to use the closest pick to what has been bid by the other club.
