I can see a couple of comparisons to J Hird with Collins, he is still a skinny kid yet shows plenty of courage. Is the old 6'2 like Mr Hird, once he fills out he could really be a versatile player for the Navy Blues, can play on ball and also as a target up forward. I saw him play 2 yrs ago early and thought that he read the play very very well....all the same qualities as Mr Hird, lets hope he can get somewhere near as good as him....

The other great thing about the swap, is that Grigg has filled out and really is at his physical peak now, he will only get slower from here on in, Collins on the other hand still hasnt reached his physical peak yet has played probably as many good games as Grigg. I really think we won out of this deal, probably not this year but in the years to come....

Come on Blues

Gee Huge call, if he ends up half as good as Hird id be a very happy camper, as for Grigg slowing down from here on in, wow players dont normally slow down until there late 20 or early 30s so that call might be a tad premeture.

Hehehehehe, ok it was late and I was bored, but they are just comparisons....

What I meant about Grigg is that he really had a mature body for his age and has hit his physical potential. Collins is yet to do so!

If this kid doesn't come out with 8 goals 34 possessions and cure pancreatic cancer on his debut, i will be very dissapointed
Your playing him down. 14 goals 45 possesions, Mark and Goal of the year and announcement after the game that he has found a cure for all types of cancer.

Nah but really he could be a good player.

Wow, just wow. The Rusty Trombone has nothing on you when it comes to over the top manlove for Collins.

Poor old Collins. Tambling could never live down Buddy, now you have anchored Collins with Hird.

You should have compared him to...Jordan McMahon.

At least then we could have howled you down with he will be much better, has courage and will fill out :)

mmm I don't think he'll be able to kick 8 goals in a quarter till at least his 2 or 3rd season with the defensive style of footy played now.

carry on.

Good to see you guys know what Andy Collins can bring to the table. Wouldn't be surprised if he pushes Juddy out of the centre and onto the bench as an impact player. Rumour has it that he completes a full iron man after every game as a cool down activity before going home to work on a novel which publishers are predicting will outsell The Davinci Code and The Bible combined.
