Here is the draft order for the fantasy draft. The time at which selections MUST be made are in [ ] brackets, and once a selection has been made it will be replaced by the selected players name in bold.

Scheduled selections will not begin until Monday 31st of January

If you miss a selection your pick will be moved to the end of the rd.

Time slots will run from 9-5, but if you can make a selection before your time slot then please do so. And if all the allocated selections are made for the day then selections will continue, but no time limit will be enforced so no-one is penalised for missing an unsecheduled selection

Pick #1 <Volders-Melbourne> Brendan Goddard

I'll post a pic and description for fun.

Undoubtedly the most versatile player in the league and slots easily into anyones top 5, Brendan can and has played as a back, midfield and forward. Wins his own ball, has arguably the best field kick going round, can deliver under pressure (see GFs), perfect first pick for any fantasy team.

Pick #2 <MightyMark-Gold Coast> - Matthew Pavlich

It's a tough choice. Being 2nd and having any player to pick from. Would have gone Goddard myself considering he is the best all round player in the game. But seeing as he is the only player I cant have, ill take the second most versatile player in the game.
Probably not the best player I could have, given that Selwood, Swan and Hodge are still around, but as far as team structure goes there is only one other player that can match Pavlich's ability to dominate in any area of the ground.

Damn it, I too was hoping that Goddard would be available at pick #3 !!!!!!!!!!! My decision is do I grab an elite midfielder in Judd/Ablett, an elite CHF in N. Riewoldt or an Elite Ruckman in Sandilands. In the end I have decided to go with this man

I don't think many people would argue that Ablett hasn't been the premier midfielder in the league, and there is no wrong selection between Ablett and Judd (well ill keep on telling myself that anyway) so he is the man I will be building my team around.

The best ruckman in the comp so a pretty obvious pick. I'm confident I can pick up a couple of good midfielders later but I believe the ruckman makes the midfield. Without a good ruckman, the midfield won't get as much supply and my midfield will be guaranteed first hands on the ball.

Pick 5 - <Blueboys7-Carlton> Lance Franklin

I could have gone with an elite mid like Judd but have chosen to sure up my CHF in Franklin to build my team around him. When he starts running up the ground he is virtually unstoppable and will be a great target and presence up forward.

We all know how valuable an elite CHF is to a team.

IMO the best CHF in the comp. Dominant key forward/running machine, possible captain of my team.

Strongly considered Swan, but just couldn't pass up on the best KPP.

Pick 7: BluesKreuz (St Kilda) - Jonathan Brown

When he's fully fit there's no other player that is as dominant as Brown. One of the most valuable players in the competition and one of, if not the best leader in the competition.

Tough choice this one, both the reigning Brownlow medallist and the reigning MVP slipped to 8. Chris Judd is an elite midfielder, and can be more damaging then Swan, who has far more support in his own midfield.

Jimmy Bartel

With Ablett gone and Selwood the next most likely to cop the heavy tag, I think Jimmy Bartel will be an ideal pick as my centreman. Was thinking of going with another mid but decided there is a chance of having him available at my next pick.

Scott Pendlebury

Reigning Norm Smith medallist, and a lot more skilled with the ball in hand than his team mate Dane Swan. Will hold down a midfield role quite comfortably, and has demonstrated an ability to cope well with pressure.

Selwood made his AFL debut in 2007, winning the AFL Rising Star Award and AFLPA Best First Year Player Award. He has since become a dual premiership player, a two-time All-Australian, a Carji Greeves Medallist, and the youngest-ever recipient of the AFLPA Robert Rose Most Courageous Player Award. Selwood has also represented the Victorian state team as the youngest player to feature in the all-star event, and was awarded the Michael Tuck Medal following Geelong's 2009 NAB Cup victory. As of 2009, Selwood holds the highest winning–percentage record of any player in VFL/AFL history, helping the club reach three successive AFL Grand Finals.

Arguably one of the best midfielders in the comp and always on the bottom of the pack winning the hard ball. Will never give up and his work rate is loved at the saints!

His attack on the ball from the half back line is damaging when he is on song. Team player and attacks the ball with ferocity.

A foil to Franklin in the Hawks' forward line, Roughead is capable of playing well at both ends of the park, and as such is a handy addition to the team, where he can be used either as a damaging forward presence, or as extra cover down back.
