Bombers vs Demons
The last game of the round is the only game of the round in which both combatants won their previous match. The Bombers have won two in a row and are right back in the hunt for a finals berth after some stirring wins in previous weeks. They are now only half a game outside the four and face a Demons outfit which had a win over SFA easybeats the Furies and two losses before that. A win for them is a real chance this round and they could make it three wins in a row.
Mount Buller were good last week and accounted for the Furies quite comfortably when needed, pulling away when challenged. This game though won't be so easy as the Bombers enter the game having won two of their last three games whereas the Dees have one from three and had a heavy loss the the Hawks not that long ago. With the top two playing each other, this is an ideal chance for the Demons to gain some ground and break back into the top two after being stripped of that title a few weeks ago.
Second best game of the round for mine and I think that the Demons will start very slight favourites away from home.
In the Know: Both sides kicked their highest scores of the season in round nine. Baghdad have kicked 120 points or more twice this season, Mount Buller have not done that since season 12, round 2 when they kicked 24.18 (162) against the Wonders.
