Yay South Morang, 10 goal flogging by the only team yet to have won a game! Ha Ha go Bundoora in Divy1, Diamo in Divy 2.
Agree though DVFL does rule!

The side I go for in div 1 is West Preston, because I am able to get to that ground in 5-6 minutes by car. Mind you, I hate their juniors. They can go to hell.
In div 2 I support Panton Hill, because I know someone who plays for the club. It is great that both of these sides are first on the ladder in their divisions.
I am trying to picture South Morang trying to take on either West Preston, or Panton hill, and I just can't see them doing well against the quality of these sides.

D.V.F.L ROCKS
I agree, it's a strong competition with some good quality football, especially when North Heidelburg and Heidelburg play and definately when Mernda play Whittlsea in second division, neither of those two teams have any love lust and the games are always close and hard.
Although I know live near Shepparton, I used to live in the Diamond Valley area and I follow Epping in first division because my uncle was a gun when he played there, and in second division I follow Mernda because my dad is a life member there and my cousin is captain this year and Panton Hill because I know a few of the people and they're a well run club.
Although I hate that the top teams in second division have to play each other twice (Mernda has to play Watsonia, Lalor, Hurstbridge and Whittlesea twice), but i'm glad that the Panton hill's, the Macleod's and to a lesser extent the Fawkner Park's and the Reservoir's are doing well.
Im sorry but South Morang will struggle but they might pick up the occasional win against Heidelburg West, Fawkner Park and Reservoir.

Fawkner Park will beat South Morang. They had a hard early draw (Whittlesea, Hurstbridge & Panton Hill) as well as injuries to key players

How are Panton Hill any good. The used to get flogged in the Yarra Valley for the whole time they where there.
Have thay got a new ground? Or do they still play at the old home groud with 4 car park spaces. Have they changed their jumpers? Did they get players from Kinglake?
Go the Skull !!!

Panton Hill have shown some improvement over the last few years, (they were 9-7 last year) ever since they have joined the Diamond Valley because for the simple reason that they are playing in the right league for a change, because you can't get players from the northern suburbs to play in the Yarra Valley Mountain District League (the whole move was a mistake from the beginning, infact me and my dad were pleading for Panton Hill to join us at Mernda in the D.V.F.L).
Panton Hill has got a few players from Kinglake since they sadly folded, but their players have mainly gone to Whittlesea, Hurstbridge and Mernda but Panton Hill has got a lot of good young players from the local area and have recruited a gun forward from the ammo's this year.
They have changed their jumpers from the black with red sash, to a jumper similar to the Port Adelaide Magpies in the S.A.N.F.L but in red and black so they wouldn't clash with Eltham who wear Essendon colours.
Yes, they still play in that postage stamp of a ground at Panton Hill, although they have widened and lengthend the ground a few years ago, it still has the configureations of an alley rink but at least the goals face each other.

You can get a parking spot a bit easier than you used to but it's still a bugger of a ground to park.

Thanks Wayde
Looks as though they ar on the right track to re-living the glory days of 1969 - I think that was their last flag. That was what the old dude at the bar told me when I was there about 11 years ago.
