Explain how it was us?? An out of contract player with no desire to stay, you get offered a decent pick for them when in reality you could have got nothing. Our stance was known from day 1 of the trade period, Dodoro was trying to bluff a weak hand against someone holding 2 aces. End of the day, everyone should be happy with the outcome.

Can only be honest about how I'm feeling: * him.

With the way the draft etc is these days I can understand players looking around and looking after themselves.

But I still think there's some players who genuinely owe AFL clubs something and I think SC (be as creative as you like with those initials) falls squarely into this category.

Pulled him out of the bush, he was shovelling s**t at his old mans store ffs, gave him a go in the VFL, gave him a spot on the rookie list, upgraded him to the senior list, developed him into a good forward and gave him some important role so the big stage.

What single sacrifice has he made to pay back or appreciate any of that? First chance he gets he *s off for more money. He clearly really values the bond this group has built this year.

It was the money, McCartney, and perhaps most importantly, that he fell out with the coaches.
