And Collingwood gave us the sherrin
Hardly down. May struggle to make finals from here but win/loss this year won't be a true reflection on where we are at.It would be wrong to boot collingwood now when they are down haha.
Richmond won't be going anywhere. Nth would be one of the first to go.
GWS, Gold Coast, Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, Melbourne and North Melbourne.
Brisbane, GC, GWS, Sydney, WB, North
Footy is not working north of the border so get rid of it and WB and North are two of the weaker Vic teams.
Dogs, North, Hawks, GWS, Port and The Suns. If Vic teams need to be killed it should not be 6 of the remaining foundation clubs in Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne St Kilda and Geelong. That leaves the door open to getting rid of Richmond, Hawthorn, North and the Dogs that are all expansion clubs of there time
Merge Sydney and GWS
Merge Stk, Melb, Carlton, Essendon
Yeah...coz we'll all go for these merged teams lol
This thread again?
6 clubs..
Easy! Get rid of WCE, Freo, Ade, Port, GWC & GC.
Have Brisbane taken over by Fitzroy and relocate Sydney to South Melbourne.
oops.12 teams playing each other twice is 24 rounds
Gws, suns, lions, Melbourne st Kilda merge to be the St Kilda fallen angels, bulldogs and north merge to become the north western kangaroos. Boom!
Will never happen. The AFL has spent millions of dollars to expand the competition.
It is far more likely in the next 20 years or so that the competition will become split into conferences ala NBA. Or even more likely, mid season there will be a point where the competition is split into three (6 teams in each bracket) to decide finals positions and in the case of the bottom 6, draft selection.
Cannot recall who it was, but a pundit in the past year has suggested this (may've been a Gerard - Healy or Whateley).
Would miss the Saints. I admit. No one else though. Ok Saints in. Gold Coast out. JD has twisted my arm.Admit it.
You'd miss us.
