You need to remember that both Lewandowski and Goetze weren't peps calls. Pep wanted Neymar, but the board wouldn't allow it

I hope de Bruyne stays at Wolfsburg. He is the type of player that needs to be the star to play well methinks. Any competition to bayern is good competition

If Bayern sign de Bruyne they will become the most hated club in the world, and surely won't do themselves any favours in years to come. A weakened Bundesliga is no good for Bayern, if they want to win UCL they need to be playing against stronger teams week in week out... that is unless their only ambition is to win in Germany.

Not every player in Germany has a release clause - Dortmund needed to use them to convince players to join them in early 2009-2012, so far has had mixed results. Yes we lost Goetze, but we had Reus and Hummels re-sign and remove such clauses ... and may not have won 2010-11 titles without Goetze.

Anyone know much about Roberto Fermino from Hoffenheim?

United linked with an 18m move.
I hope thats pounds and not euro, otherwise thats a bit of an undervaluation on Hoffenheim's part. Has been at the club since the start of the decade, developed really well, and scored for Brasil last week. Will be good to see him play for a club with a strong history (read: Hoffenheim = plastic as you get), but a bit of a blow to the BL losing a great player.

Dortmund dropping games again.

And what idiot headbutts a ref?
The foals are a good side, they are't in a UCL spot for no reason.

Some of Klopp's selections are baffling though. Take Durm for instance. Played for BVB II for the last month (whilst clearly better than Schmelzer currently, and more suited to RB than Sokratis). Gets called up to face Hoffenheim in the Pokal, is clear MoM, then gets dropped again this week. Ginter - one of our better players in the second gave v Juve, no further action. As soon as BMG scored they sat back, and Aubameyang became effective. Did he put on Immobile (who is a far superior player in the box) to try and squeeze a score? No.

Loaned out Hoffman. Loaned out Leitner. Loaned out Bittencourt. Hopefully all these guys come back next year, and we go with a youth strategy again. We won in 2010-11-12 with youth/unknowns - players with passion. Right now, Hummels has no passion. Nor does Gundogan. If we got 40m for Hummels, 20m for Gundogan and another 15m for Subotic, plus maybe 20m for Mkhitaryan, that gives us a good cash flow, means we can play more guys like Hoffman and Leitner, maybe introduce Passlack next year, and have a crack at a young star like Vietto or Tielemans.

Thats my story
