Had my flog of an Essendon supporter mate trying to say that him being selected in the All Australian Team was a joke. Saying he's only had 1 good season. Then saying how we won't make finals next year and we're s**t. Had to walk away, otherwise I would've smashed the idiot
You would've been well within your right to

When you break down the numbers and consider the lack of consistent support he had around him, and the fact our midfield wasn't exactly defensively sound, it is one of the best seasons from a key defender I can remember. Just phenomenal.

Any result other than Hunter winning the Syd would be a fallacy.

Obviously these lists get taken with a grain of salt, but it'd be a while since we've had a player rank that highly. Great recognition for Hunter.

Goldstein at 50 and Wells at 43 too.

Great to see Hunter getting some recognition. Our best player this year.
But Mike couldn't find room for the most prolific small forward of 2013?
Edit: Lindsay's probably in the top 10 :rainbow:

Gee wiz, there are some real hacks in that list, and who the f*** is Eric MacKenzie....anyone? Is that a p*sstake?

This year he was.
Yeah, Libba is a little gun. Very consistent performer at a very high level.

I would argue that Jack's best games have more impact because of his goal kicking ability and moments of great leadership and commitment but Libba has had a significantly better year than Jack.

Montagna? Will be either left out of the top 50 or be top 10...

That's about where I would have Thompson. Great season.

Boomer did miss 6 games and had a few quiet games, so probably hard to justify him in there. Thomas obviously also unlucky not to be in the 40-50 range.

Ablett
Selwood
Roughead
Pendlebury
Swan
Mitchell
Griffen
Taylor
Jack

Barlow? Cameron? McVeigh? Really, those guys might be top 10? Am I missing anyone obvious, because all I can think of for the number 10 spot are guys who had good seasons but were not top 10!

Also surprised Birchall made it. Due to injury, was not his best season.

Eric Mackenzie had an excellent year.
