Same task as previously posted retro-drafts here for 1975 year and onwards.
Simply a fun task to look back in retrospect of all players that would have turned 18 in 1982 that ended up playing in the league then or later (some obviously earlier as there was no actual draft or restrictions of players under 18 not being able to play)

If you followed and watched the VFL in the mid 1980's and into the early 1990's you will have some memory of how good some of these footballers were.

Dunstall easily and probably in the top half a dozen players I've seen.

Peter Motley had the potential to be better again, albeit different players... such a tragedy.

Although Dunstall had better longevity and numbers, in my opinion Brereton was an even stronger contributor to Hawthorn's Premiership teams and was a more important and better allround player. He'd be the one I'd take at #1.
