It also confirms the importance of "The Sydney Summit": "It provided the impetus for the development of a coherent anti-doping program and this leveraged the IOC to act to create the body (WADA) that it had promised at Lausanne."
All roads in anti-doping in sport eventually lead to Lausanne, Switzerland, the headquarters of CAS, particularly when the case is the first to involve 34 team members in a professional sport.
This is something Essendon and the AFL must reluctantly accept.
