He's really good on the lead, just looks sooooo lazy and laconic, and not in a good 'paddy ryder he covers the ground so effortlessly' kind of way either

Yep simply cannot do that as it leaves us with just Paddy, unless its a straight swap for another ruck but thats highly unlikely.

Doubt it. Didn't spend much time in the ruck at all, and didn't look great forward.

True, but tough conditions or not, effort is a non negotiable, and it was lacking today.

Was easily the least influential of the 5 big guys on the ground in the VFL today.

Thought that McEvoy looked a class above everyone else, Tagliabue worked really hard and fought his way back to almost break even with McEvoy and Lowden (that number 70?) was seriously impressive given his athleticism, marking and size (seemed to tower over everyone on the ground and there were some big boys out there). Even Grimley was busy and took some nice marks.

I don't want to be seen to hate but when you look slow/off the pace at VFL level the alarm bells really out to be ringing.

Hes hurting like most big men from missing the majority of preseason and the start of the season. NicNat struggled, most big men do.

FWIW we need to find another ruck in the off season. Some other teams like Hawks, Geel, Melbourne ect have plenty of guys that would have a greater chance to be playing in our first side than they do at their respective sides.

Lowden, Grimley, Mcevoy playing in the twos - we could do with one of them or Ceglar.

Or even guys like Fitzpatrick, Spencer.

Cal Sinclair from the eagles (is a victorian). Can also play forward.

Just for pure back up services.

McEvoy playing 2's is an absolute waste of cash. its totally not worth it. TBC playing 2s is a waste of cash imagine you had 2 ruckman on big salaries playing VFL.
