This is a list of players who won premierships AFTER leaving St. Kilda.

Does anyone have a list of players to win premierships BEFORE playing for St. Kilda?

Sydney sent a few to the Saints but the high point was in the 80s when the Blues and Hawthorn would pull up a truck with ex premiership players to the Saints and then pick up a few young kids in a trade.

For example

From Carlton

Ken Sheldon
Wow Jones
Alex Marcou
Peter McConville
Ian Aitken
Jezza
Peter Brown
Neil Chandler

Hawthorn players
Russell Morris
Peter Russo
Chris Wittman
Dean Anderson
Geoff Ablett

Richmond
Terry Smith
Bill Barrott
Rex Hunt
Graeme Bond

Sydney
Dempster
Schneider

NM
Matthew Capuano

Geelong
Steven King

And this list is only from the 1967 grand final onwards.

eg 1898 Fitzroy Jim Grace
1900 Melbourne Stewart Geddes
1900 Melbourne Tommy Ryan
1900 Melbourne Vic Cumberland
1907 Carlton Dick Harris
1909 South Melbourne Charlie Ricketts
1910 Collingwood Tom Baxter

That's up to 1910 alone.

Let's keep it simple. If you are a decent St Kilda player and want to play in a premiership side, come to Hawthorn.

18 & Savage for McEvoy with a follow up trade of 19 for 24 & 59

18, 19 & Savage for McEvoy, 24 & 59

basically 1 1st rounder & Savage with a slight downgrade

I'm glad you clear that up. I never understood why 19 (Franklyn comp) ended up elsewhere. now i know.

24 was Billy Hartung 59 was Jon Ceglar rookie elevation
