Who does everyone think will be the big slider and big improver of 2012.
I think Essendon will be lucky to finish top 12.
I think Fremantle will be pushing for top 4.

I think the Tigers may finally get a spot in the 8. They ARE getting stronger and I think the away games with travel are against the weaker sides ( Except Geelong ).

Sydney will stay strong off with the help of their SCG games.
WestCoast will go well, but will struggle to get that all important home final.
I'm thinking the difference between 9th and 1st could be as little as 5 wins, and to me Essendon are likely to be just in or just out of the 8.
I have Freo, North , Melbourne and Adelaide a few games below Essendon, then Bulldogs and Port struggling.

Bombers made the finals last year despite having the toughest draw and a horrible run with injuries. It was also apparent that they weren't fit enough to sustain the new and more defensive game plan across four quarters.
We have a bunch of players around 20-21 years old in our best 22 who will have benefited from another preseason (Hurley, Heppel, Zaharakis, Melksham, Pears, Carlisle etc.)
So I see absolutely no reason why we should be 'lucky to finish top 12'.
Yes we got flogged by Carlton in the finals, but at least we made them.
We also beat better teams than North, Richmond or Melbourne.
I predict that we will finish 6th-9th.

i think the bombers are capable to play finals along with 4 or 5 other clubs but they certainly wont finish 12th if they miss. 10th the worst.

They are actually still the 'Footscray Football Club', they just trade as the 'Western Bulldogs'. I prefer to call clubs and grounds by their traditional names. And I'm almost 18, so you are quite incorrect on both accounts.

Apart from that, West Coast and Freo are western. Bulldogs are simply west of the melbourne CBD which makes their "new" name pretty outdated in a national competition.

That is one massive call. Despite demonstrating some glimpses of form during this pre-season, Port don't yet have anything remotely close to the sufficient talent and list required to contend for a top 8 position.
GWS in 16th is one I'm not sure on also, and I can assure you that Carlton and Freo (particularly the Blues) will finish much higher than 12th and 13th respectively. I guess this is simply a prediction thread though.
